Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

That's good to hear. [The Watch seems to be more stable now at least. Still need more members though it looks like.]

Yes, I'm a deputy for Outer Residential Quarter I now. Working under Cloud, who's been assigned as the leader there.

I'm glad to hear that. I'm quite pleased that Cloud's rejoined the Watch as well. We come from the same world: him, his weapon, and I.

[itsfondue]

[He's a little surprised to hear that.] Did you three knew each other before arriving here?

[recitings]

Sephiroth and I were of equal rank in the army. We were both leaders. I did not meet Cloud properly until I got to this city, though.

[itsfondue]

[He nods, quiet for a moment before speaking again.] Was Sephiroth different when you were in the army with him? He didn't leave much of a friendly impression when I spoke with him. [To say the least.]

[recitings]

Hm.

[He pauses, reminiscing for a moment: Sephiroth the hero and Genesis the black sheep.]

Let's just say that both of us were wildly different when we were much younger.

[itsfondue]

Guess time changes everyone. [Or if too much time has passed, almost everything becomes unrecognizable. Steve decides not to think about that too much though.]

Still consider him a brother-in-arms though?

[recitings]

[A little smile tugs at Genesis' lips.]

Yes, I do. He might not win points for congeniality here, but he is still the only person who knows the most about me in this city.

[itsfondue]

[He takes his words into consideration.]

Despite his views on humans now, he hasn't turned his back on you?

[recitings]

There was a time we regarded each other as nemeses. We were wary around each other despite our past friendship. But I'd like to believe that neither of us wants to end the other, despite of our differences in beliefs and destinies.

Besides that, I share a great deal with him beyond a life in the military.

[itsfondue]

[Steve himself will probably never get along with Sephiroth, or that's how he feels at least. But he can't fault Genesis for still trusting a soldier that he's known for a while now.]

It'd be difficult to end the life of a soldier you used to work with. Even if he's very different from before.

[recitings]

I would have to agree wholeheartedly with that. Despite how things have changed, I must admit that a part of me still respects him to a great degree.

[itsfondue]

He used to do great things. Know that he used to be a hero in your world.

[recitings]

Did you hear that story from Cloud Strife?

[itsfondue]

Heard it from Sephiroth himself, actually. He briefly mentioned it, with the government being responsible for promoting him to that status.

I see. And that is true.
