Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

[Apple falls away and watches curiously as Amaterasu approaches Mei now. The Shiba Inu, meanwhile, doesn't back away, but her tail is tucking between her legs. Genesis seemed a little worried still, but he knows Amaterasu to some extent. He knows that she's a good wolf.]

[Amaterasu stands before Mei, ears standing and sniffs. Curious; why does this one cower exactly? She decides to step closer and give the dog a lick.]

[Mei suddenly feels a bit shaken. Such a noble creature greeting me!? She seems kind of nervous now, but tentatively, she returns that greeting.]

I guess she's just... shy.

[Genesis laughs. But really, it seems more like Mei was all nervous with nothing but sheer respect for how noble Amaterasu was. Somehow, she knew that she was far greater than just any other wolf.]

She's pretty much like that with some people, too.

[Her ears flick at Genesis words. Is that right? Well, more socialization was needed.]

[Hello there, young one. No reason to be so nervous... or is something on your mind?]

[Not really... nothing is on my mind. I guess... I've just never met any dog like you. You make me feel a little nervous... and I've never felt this way even with the dragon I used to live with.]

[A dragon? How curious. She sits down. Well, I'm not a dog... or a wolf. It's just a form I meant to temporarily use, but that 'temporary' has now been over two hundred years.]

[Mei now sits beside her, while Apple moves over to Genesis' side and nuzzles him.]

I guess we can take a little break.

[And he sits down with Apple near where Mei and Amaterasu were. Mei continues her conversation with the wolf:

He is gone now, though. That is why this man is now my master. So... what are you, really?]

[She glances over at Genesis, but then turns back to Mei.]

[Ah, adoption. Well, I'm a goddess, but not of this world. If I was, this whole war business could be ended sooner.]

[Really? Oh wow!]

[Mei's tail began to wag low at Amaterasu's words. Her head pressed down to the grass, though.]

[I never thought I'd meet a goddess. I thought they were all make-believe, like my master's partner says. Master goes on and on about a goddess, but his partner doesn't believe him.]

[Maybe his partner is from such a world lacking gods and goddesses being about often. I try to interact when I can, but we do have things to do as well.]

[I guess so. How do you communicate with the humans?]

[I write to them. Text is what they usual call it. It's simple enough and much faster since they can't understand the basic body language.]

[I see... but how about out here where everyone is gathered? My master seems to know you... I think.]

[Mei steals a glance over to Genesis, who had begun to nap a bit with Apple.]

[Ah, yes. I help out at training. Give me a few of those weapons and they can figure the rest out.]

[She glances over at Genesis. Urge to pounce rising.]

[I see...]

[Mei is obviously the calmer between her and her "sister", but she's still a bit playful and feels a bit of that want to lick all over her sleeping master's face.

Nope. There's nothing stopping Ammy if she wants to pounce on Genesis.]

[Nodding again, Amaterasu is still staring at Genesis, but then she turns to Mei]

[Want to go bother your master? His guard is down. It will be a fuzzy bombardment.]

[Mei's tail wags. Her gaze is fixed on Genesis.]

[Let's do it!]

[And she goes right ahead, bounding over to her master to give him doggy kisses!]

[Don't mind her if she just flops on top of Genesis's stomach, her tail flopping too.]

[And the wind is totally knocked out of a once-snoozing Genesis!]

Oof--!!!

[And his words are cut off by doggy kisses all over his cheek and mouth AAAARGH DOG TONGUE.]

[Her tail wags harder. Good morning again, Genesis!]

I didn't think I'd be covered in dogs today.

[But he laughs and scritches both Mei and Amaterasu, not wanting to disturb a snoozing Apple.]

[This isn't even enough dogs, but Apple is sleeping. Oh, she settles down to accept the petting.]

[Well, Genesis has three big dogs on him-- Apple and Mei on either side of him and a very adorable Amaterasu on his tummy. That's enough for him to consider himself surrounded!]

I'm glad you three get along.

[There isn't a dog she can't get along with. Her tail flops for a moment longer, but then she yawns. That nap is beginning to sound inviting.]

[Mei seems a little sleepy too, what with the warmth of the morning. Genesis gently scritches them both.]

Naptime, is it?
