Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

[Her tail thumps against the ground at the pets, but again, no answer. Probably a good sign that means she isn't doing anything, though now, she bumps him. More pets please.]

[Laughs and scritches her head a little more.] Okay, okay, I will pet you all you want.

[She grins and rubs. This is definitely the most satisfying thing in the world right now]

I wonder if you belong to anyone... I hope you have a place to stay.

[No collar on her fuzzy neck, but there is her communicator buried somewhere in all that fur.]

[His hand bumps into it eventually as he keeps petting her, pausing when he does.] What's this...? [Pulls it out carefully.] You've got a communicator...?

Arf!

[It has a cute little custom sun strap and everything.]

... Is this yours? [He sets it down in front of her.] Can you use it?

[When she presses her paw on the screen, it does activate. A few basic claw taps and she's able to text out a single word]

Yes.

[And John's staring again.] ... You can text?!

[motherofthesun]

[She nods. You humans make it seem like it should be so hard.]

[Again, she nods, tilting her head shortly after.]

[John smiles.] You're kind of like Casey! Can you tell me your name with this? [Points at the communicator.]

[She nods and manages to type her name out.]

Amaterasu.

Nice to meet you, Amaterasu! What do you do here?

Sparring. Advanced group.

... You're a teacher?

[motherofthesun]

[She nods, blinking. Why?]

How can you teach sparring if you're not a human...? Don't you need, like, arms and legs to grab onto people and stuff with?

[She snorts and shakes her head. Don't be silly.]

How do you do it?

[motherofthesun]

[That part is usually tricky to explain, but she shrugs.]
