Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

Ah, yeah. By controlling your breath, you control everything about your body. [He takes a pointed deep breath. On the exhalation, he punches the ground, leaving a nice little dent there.] See? It's controlled and so... more potent, I guess.

[He widens his eyes a little in surprise in awe.]

You're not kidding! That's pretty amazing.

[Oh yeah, Joseph knows he's impressive. He looks quite smug at that praise.]

Yeah, it is. It's much better back where I'm from, though. Control of your breath is control of your power. [Heavy sigh.] I kinda miss it.

I can't say there was anything like that back where I'm from. [But yeah no for reals that's pretty impressive. Judai would probably be interested in hearing about this, he can imagine.]

But, there are a lot of things about my world that I miss, too, so I know that feeling.

Yeah, I get the feeling most people here are like that. [Suddenly, Joseph just relaxes and leans back with a sigh.] So what do you miss most about your world? [Random bonding, aw yis.]

Hm... [Johan leans back a little in thought, trying to figure out just what about his world he's feeling the most homesick for.]

My family. [Definitely that.] It feels like an eternity since I've gotten to talk to any of them.

[ibroughttequila]

[Joseph raises an eyebrow, looking at Johan. And then he snorts softly.]

Yeah, me too. [He sits up, looking around, and then leans in an says quietly.] Don't tell anyone. But I had just gotten married before I came here. [Shrug.] I miss Suzi more than anything.

[wearspurpleclothes]

[He doesn't... quite understand why this has to be a secret but oh wow!]

Really? That's wonderful, congratulations! Ahhh, but I can only imagine how difficult that has to be, being separated from your brand-new wife.

Heh, thanks. [He rubs the back of his head a little.]

It does suck a lot. Suzi's a great woman. [Another small sigh.] But I gotta say, I like the idea of fighting again a lot more than sitting around and doing nothing.

Ahh, I've never been particularly good at fighting. ... Maybe that's why I'm a weapon?

[It made a little bit of sense to him, at least.]

...is that what does it? [He froooowns in response to that.]

Then why'm I a weapon? That doesn't make any goddamn sense...

Oh! You're a weapon, too? Then... no, I guess that must not be how it works.

[Shoot, he thought he might have been on to something, too!]

[Now Joseph is kind of grumpy.]

Well, this sucks. [He huffs and just... kind of flops.] I'd rather just be out there fighting! My muscles are plenty without any of this weird magic.

[wearspurpleclothes]

The weird magic part is the only thing that can work on the enemies, apparently. [He thought it was pretty strange, too, but not much stranger than any other fictional world set-up.]

What kind of weapon are you?

[ibroughttequila]

It's still stupid... [Joseph is just kind of... not liking a different sort of magic.

And then he grimaces at that question.] I... I don't actually know? I've only changed like... once. And no one was around to help me figure out what I even was...
