It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

I'm surprised you don't. [However, she's shaking her head in the negative.] Just relax, Kid. Tell me how your group went in the kishin chamber.

[She needs to get something to distract him. Darn it.]

Due to all the rush, I neglected to carry the one I normally have.

[silent sob.]

As for the kishin chamber, it went as usual.

[complaints, questions, introductions, etc.]

How usual? Come on, give me details, Kid. [Please give her something to work with. She glances at the clock. Has it only been a minute?]

[just arches a brow.]

There really wasn't anything to note, really. The number was a bit smaller than usual, so I wonder if that has anything to do with the rather short time period between this and the last group.

[it was definitely an interesting thought, anyway.]

I guess the only really "interesting" thing would be the giant robot that also came in.

I'm fairly certain we had at least one or two come through before.

Yeah, but it's not like we get one of those every time.

They are a rarity. It makes you really wonder how BREW does its selection process.

[tallerbrooklyndevil]

Considering we've got everything from robots to trolls nowadays, it does make you wonder. Sometimes I think BREW's just messing around because it can.

[sighs.]

I wouldn't be too surprised.

[tallerbrooklyndevil]

[She puts a finger to her chin, tilting her head back slightly to look up at the ceiling in thought.]

You think maybe BREW can think for itself? Or maybe it's leftovers from Eibon?

[perfectorder]

It's...possible. If only we knew more about it.

[answers that could be hidden in that tempest on the Lost Island.]

But for now we need to focus on the witches.

[Liz tilts her head back forward.] Yeah, I guess you got a point.

[She looks to the clock again before turning back to Kid.]

The poster's still bothering you, isn't it?

[and instant arms crossed over the table as he faceplants onto them for a muffled:]

[She reaches out and starts massaging the space between his shoulder blades, rubbing at the spot in a circular motion. Nice and symmetrical and even.]

You're such a handful sometimes.

[But there's a note of fondness in her voice and a smile on her face.]

...LIZ. YOU TURNED INTO LUNA. IS THERE SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT TELLING ME OH GOD IT'S BLAIR ISN'T IT

[he'll just retort—though his voice is still muffled because having head down actually helps as he does not have to look at that poster.]

[Liz can't resist a little snicker at that.]

[he is frowning.

but. well. if he WERE to reflect on past actions...yeah okay maybe. so he's just silent before muttering something different.]

[She's teasing with the last part though bribery is always welcome.]
