It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

[Okay, it's going to be weird to have dinner smiling at her, but it's not the weirdest thing she's seen at the Gallows Manor.]

Now we get to eat their faces off! Mwahahahahahaaa!!

And now I'm not sure if I'll be able to eat this.

Pick the pepperoni off if it bothers you. [Liz the ever practical.] Let's just pay and go.

...You can come with us, right, Patti?

I think so! [She turns and looks toward Mark behind the counter. He seems pretty ready to be rid of her... Patti turns back to Liz.]

They told me to bring your guys the pizzas, at least. Dunno' why they'd tell me to do that if they didn't want me to eat them. [Patti logic! Yay!]

[he's noting the look.]

I have a few ideas.

But all right, I'll go pay. You girls wait for me outside.

Right. Just don't take too long, okay? I'm starving.

[And she's going to start herding Patti out the door.]

So huuuuuungry!

[Patti closes the lid and lets Liz herd her out without much fuss since going home sooner means eating pizza sooner.]

[and after paying the usual amount, Kid is out and pocketing his wallet.]

Let's go home.

[and we're walking.]

[Good job, Kid. You didn't keep your hungry girls waiting for too long.]

[Whee walking back to the manor. Liz is plotting, Kid. Going to find a way to kick your butt into bed.]

[And Patti is just salivating at the thought of eating delicious pizza...and...ohohoho, those smiles. Those smiles! They will be sad smiles by the time she starts chomping away on them! Yes!! Sad smiles!! Delicious, juicy, symmetrical, sad smiles!!]

Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizzaaaa~! [She continues chanting all possible derivations of this, while occasionally laughing, as they make the journey home. ~~Incidentally, she is in no way affiliated with Little Ceasars.~~]

[and they're walking...and walking. hey Liz, aren't you old enough to drive? why don't you have a license so you can drive us back to the mansion? not that walking is bad—great exercise—but seriously.

at any rate, without much incident they'll have returned back to mansion.]

I'll just go change, but you two can go ahead and eat.

[If you thought two people on a skateboard was awkward, Kid, can you imagine the three of them crammed together on a motorcycle?]

Don't take too long. Otherwise, I can't promise an even number of slices left for you.

[She's joking since she wouldn't eat that much pizza. Patti on the other hand...]

[Hey, Patti is all up for a reenactment of the Musicians of Bremen.]

Hehehehehe! Yes, yes! Don't take too long! Or the smiley faces will get cold and won't be delicious anymore!

[Not that Patti really minds either way since all she wants to do is gobble up those poor defenseless smiley faces... But, still, given that it is Kid, he might end up fussing over something stupid for a few hours before coming back to eat.]

[not hours! ...half an hour probably.

but yeah. might be better if they started without him.]

[Psh. Like they're going to wait up for him. They know what he's like.]

[However, Liz is keeping an eye on the number of slices left. Don't want to gyp Kid out of dinner.]

So how was the pizza shop, Patti?

It was great! I didn't realize pizza shops were that big behind the counter! And they have this huuuuuuuuuuuge oven! You stick the pizzas in on one side, and they come out all delicious and gooey on the other! It's great! I want one~!

[So that she can have all the pizza in the world, always and forever.]

Liz! We should open our own pizza shop! [Screw school! Pizza is the way of life!]

It takes a lot of responsibility and time to operate one—both of which I'm sure both of you would tire of very quickly.
