It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

Considering we've got everything from robots to trolls nowadays, it does make you wonder. Sometimes I think BREW's just messing around because it can.

[She puts a finger to her chin, tilting her head back slightly to look up at the ceiling in thought.]

You think maybe BREW can think for itself? Or maybe it's leftovers from Eibon?

It's...possible. If only we knew more about it.

[answers that could be hidden in that tempest on the Lost Island.]

But for now we need to focus on the witches.

[Liz tilts her head back forward.] Yeah, I guess you got a point.

[She looks to the clock again before turning back to Kid.]

The poster's still bothering you, isn't it?

[and instant arms crossed over the table as he faceplants onto them for a muffled:]

[She reaches out and starts massaging the space between his shoulder blades, rubbing at the spot in a circular motion. Nice and symmetrical and even.]

You're such a handful sometimes.

[But there's a note of fondness in her voice and a smile on her face.]

[he'll just retort—though his voice is still muffled because having head down actually helps as he does not have to look at that poster.]

I also cleaned Patti's.

[though that's probably been wrecked by now.]

No, but I know you two used to mess with the candles and paintings around the mansion before.

...except, instead of Mark coming back out with those delicious extra-cheese, extra-pepperoni, and perfectly symmetrical pizzas, it is this silly girl bounding out with them.]

Two symmetrical pizzas with the same number of pepperoni, extra pepperoni, extra cheese, perfectly sliced! ORDER UP~!! [She cheerfully shouts this as she holds the boxes up with one hand and spins around in a circle on one foot. So talented!]

Hullo~! [She waves cheerfully with her free hand and laughs.]

Well, I was chasing this bird earlier, and it flew reeeeeally fast! Fwooosh! Like a jet! I was chasing it aaall around the city, and then and then the bird wanted pizza or something, so it was pecking around in front of the store! While it was distracted, I caught it! Buuuuut I broke the door when I was jumped on it, so they made me work, ehehehe. [She makes an "oopsie" face, but clearly does not feel sorry about what she did. Patti seems to be telling the truth because Mark is giving her the eye behind the counter, and the new guy looks a little freaked out.]
