It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

No, but I know you two used to mess with the candles and paintings around the mansion before.

[Guess what! It has been fifteen awkward minutes! HUZZAH!!
...except, instead of Mark coming back out with those delicious extra-cheese, extra-pepperoni, and perfectly symmetrical pizzas, it is this silly girl bounding out with them.]

Two symmetrical pizzas with the same number of pepperoni, extra pepperoni, extra cheese, perfectly sliced! ORDER UP~!! [She cheerfully shouts this as she holds the boxes up with one hand and spins around in a circle on one foot. So talented!]

Patti?! What're you doing here?!

Hullo~! [She waves cheerfully with her free hand and laughs.]

Well, I was chasing this bird earlier, and it flew reeeeeally fast! Fwooosh! Like a jet! I was chasing it aaall around the city, and then and then the bird wanted pizza or something, so it was pecking around in front of the store! While it was distracted, I caught it! Buuuuut I broke the door when I was jumped on it, so they made me work, ehehehe. [She makes an "oopsie" face, but clearly does not feel sorry about what she did. Patti seems to be telling the truth because Mark is giving her the eye behind the counter, and the new guy looks a little freaked out.]

I brought the pizza! That's what you wanted, right? And look! Kid! I made smiley faces!! [She opens the lid of the top box as she says this to show off her work. Indeed, there are smiley faces on each slice of pizza made out of pepperoni. Clearly, a lot of work was put into it! Just look at how creepy cute they are! They are radially symmetrical too!]

Why did you put smiley faces when we didn't even ask for it on our pizza?

Well, we technically didn't specify how to arrange the pepperoni, so why not smiley faces?

[Because with Patti, Liz has learned to sometimes just roll with the weirdness.]

Oh, sis, you're so smart! Ehehehe~! You didn't say it had to be arranged like normal, so I thought smiley faces would be cute! Don't you think? Huh, huh?

...I have to admit that they are rather symmetrical in design.

[Patti must have some secret latent artistic talent. many a time has he been confounded by her odd but admittedly "who the hell else could do this!?" "artwork."]

[Okay, it's going to be weird to have dinner smiling at her, but it's not the weirdest thing she's seen at the Gallows Manor.]
