Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

Finding a Partner

[So that first mission was a relative success. This does not mean that Erik actually enjoys fighting somebody else's battles. He still resents this place for it. Still he finds himself curious enough to show up here again.]

[Hamel was sulking. Definitely sulking. He hadn't seen Nanami yet but that damn pirate woman was already all over everyone. He grit his teeth in irritation and stopped next to Erik with his hands on his hips, watching her chat people up. They seemed to like her well enough. Sometimes being a hero was a real pain in the ass. All the people were obviously overwhelmed by him. It was the only explanation.]

[He needed a weapon. He needed a mission and he needed more goddamn money. He turned to the guy and gave him an assessing look, crossing his arms.] You a weapon? [Subtlety they name is not Hamel.]

[For a while, Sheena hadn't been really looking for a partner, but all that changed when she not only discovered the way to channel her power, but also had gone on her first mission.

Now, she's looking in earnest, passing the time by partially transforming her arm into her whip-like obijime form and training with it.]

[Morgan stopped to watch this odd demonstration for a few moments, an eyebrow going up. She'd never seen a partial transformation before.]

You turn into a rope?

[Sure, rope could be useful, especially for tying up first mates before going after the captain. But she was a bit skeptical about its use as a deadly weapon.]

[have a guy without a name tag BECAUSE WE ARE NOT REALLY HERE skirting the area with a leery glance. Likely hailing from breakfast, and probably on track to exit the training grounds, he DEFINITELY wants to be anywhere but here NOTHING TO SEE JUST PASSING THROUGH]

[In Morgan's line of work, one has to be observant and she notices the man skirting the area as if trying to sneak away. She addresses him, her tone a bit demanding.]

You! Are you a Weapon?

[She intends to try out every Weapon she can find around here today.]

[Morgan was here again, hoping for a better selection of Weapons this time, preferably a form she was more used to than the ones she had resonated with before.]

[The pirate hunter had only been in Death City about ten days but she had already gone on a couple of missions. She was impatient to get home—the 30,000 pieces of silver waiting for her after she captured Guybrush was great motivation for someone who liked money as much as she did—and those pansies at the school would finally let her take another job tomorrow.]

[So, who will be her partner for mission number three? Maybe someone new?]

[Nanami had been on the outskirts of the partner finding area for a while now making sure she would be able to avoid everyone she was currently trying to avoid. She had noticed Morgan going after quite a few Weapons so she figured she should approach her before she ended up on a waiting list.]

You're the one from the network a few days ago?

[She asked standing off to the woman's side with a hand on her hip. She knew the answer already though obviously because of the video chat.]

[Although Karina was content with building up her career as a singer again, she did come to the training grounds from time to time to try to look for a weapon. After all, although her thoughts were more towards her musical career, she couldn't just up and leave being a hero. She had to stay sharp.

And being able to go on missions did just that for her. After going on her first one, she supposed that it wouldn't be bad to go out on more.]

[As Kotetsu idly walked through the morning training area, he started wondering if today was actually the best day to have training, let alone even be outside. The heat was starting to reach peak temperatures and he hadn't even brought along a bottle of water. He had to remember to pick one up in a moment before he left, maybe even call Kaede up and see if she wanted to get an ice cream.

He'd even started to wonder if he should contact Barnaby too to make their outing a trio effort before he noticed a familiar face over in the section he knew was for looking for a partner.]

--Karina! [Kotetsu called out to her as he waved, wiping away the sweat from his brow as he walked over toward the girl.] Look at you, being a hard-working Meister. You're looking for a partner even when it's this hot outside?

[ It seems this is one of his stops all the time he comes to the morning training now. As someone who is interested on going to missions regularly, finding a meister is crucial, be it permanent or not.

He is holding a small identification on his chest that says "Hello, I'm MATT, I'm a WEAPON and I turn into a PORTAL GUN" ]

Maybe a little pre-mission chitchat?

[Within the morning, Karina comes over to Matt.]

Hey there, haven't seen you in a while.

[And Morgan is certainly interested in going on a lot of missions, not because she cares about the war at all but because she's in a hurry to get home and likes money. So, she stops to read Matt's little sign.]

What's a portal gun?

[Bakura never really bought into the notion of working together with a partner as this place empathizes it. He doesn't trust people and thinks anybody willing to entrust themselves to him in more than a passing partnership created to pursue a shared goal is a clingy fool.

Despite this he drops by the partner finding area again, curious about what kind of Weapons would be here this time. He doesn't bother hiding his aggressive and proud way of acting since there is no reason to assume the role of 'nice gentle Bakura-kun' anymore.]

[sup Bakura, have a Fujino just passing by on her way to the Box Hiding Novelty Class section. Though, she slows to a halt when she spots him.]

Oh! Um, hello again...

[And she gives him a wave. She's a little more cautious this time (don't think she forgot about him throwing that apple at her head), but she hasn't talked to him for too long, so she's going to try again. He doesn't seem that bad, anyway.]

Eren Jaeger | Weapon

[Eren arrives somewhat late, having gotten distracted with observing all the on-goings of the morning practice to keep aware of the time.

After a short talking-to with the person in charge he enters with a tag that declares him as a WEAPON and a more than skeptical look as his blue-green eyes scan over the rest of the crowd.]

So that's it... ? [This is looking more like a fair than any serious army attempt.]

Yes... almost insulting, isn't it?

[She doesn't mean to... well, no, she does mean to sneak up behind some Weapons just to see their reflexes. Were they aware of the silent nurse coming upon them or not? It would have to be rectified if she caught them off guard. If Eren looks... at the name badge, it appeared more like the ones for high profile workers. Nurse Valentine with a red cross beneath it.]

Are you getting second thoughts?

Were you expecting a drill sergeant?

[Yes, that is an unusually short teenager with mismatched eyes, silver hair, and a braided earring, wearing only black and holding an equally black sun umbrella to keep himself out of the sun.

You said fair, but did you mean circus?]

[Takuto is wearing his meister badge--the same one he's been wearing since his first morning training seven months ago because he just takes it home and back again. He's pretty familiar with the routine but it's been a while since he's made any serious attempts to find a new weapon to train with.]

So... what kind of weapon are you? [He points to his meister badge with a smile.] My name's Takuto.

[Morgan stops next to him, arms crossed and looking over the crowd. She's not really impressed at the turnout either.]

Not very impressive, is it? With how some people talk about there being strong fighters in this city, you'd think there be a better selection.

Shinji Ikari | Weapon

[In his quest to avoid being dragged in to doing too much work with Asuka today, Shinji finds himself wandering around quite a bit, eventually landing himself in the area for partner match-making without really intending to. As such, he doesn't have a name tag, and looks a little lost as he tries to stay mostly out of the general crowd. Feel free to harass him as if he were actually participating, he looks like he probably wouldn't appreciate it could use it!]

[Being off the field is getting absolutely no where. So, stalking around the Finding a Partner area, she spots someone lacking a name tag.]

And you would be?

[This time around, Steve looks around for anyone that might want to resonate with him. It's always good practice and he hasn't worked with new people in a while.]
