Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

[For a moment Eren sizes him up with a look that is ..'different'.

Rather than angry it has suddenly become very calm and calculating, but also shows that certain quality that says that he has already stopped seeing Sasha as a fellow human.

It are the eyes of a killer who only has to decide on the best way to strike.]

...Heh. I'd say that in that case you'd better come prepared, but it's not as if want to kill humans. I have sworn an oath to protect humanity after all.

[But if the people of this place are insistent on endangering the rest of the human species by forcefully keeping him here Eren won't stand back and just take it, either. As captain Levi had said, he hates being tied down by chains.]

[Sasha's smile fades into a mild scowl. Is he supposed to be intimidated? After staring into the eyes of cultists, mass murderers, torturers, and other dangerous nutjobs--it's all too easy to simply stand his ground.]

Protect humanity? What a joke.

BREW did not bring you here on an idle whim. The war on this planet is one that is desperate enough to bring people from other planets to help. Do you not understand the magnitude of this situation?

You can choose to go to the front lines. You can choose to be a productive citizen of Death City and sit out the danger. But if you go out there just to fuck over everyone else trapped here, segregated from their friends and loved ones, you won't be 'protecting humanity'. You'll just be a stuck-up brat who can't handle taking responsibility when all of the rest of us are in the same situation. You'll bring them to their deaths.

Did you truly swear to protect humanity, or just the ones you give a shit about?

What the fuck?! Listen, I just said I won't do it! [He bristles, but somehow keeps himself from grabbing Sasha by his collar and shaking him until he realizes that this isn't some issue about who's fucking more in the right or wrong here.]

Humanity is on the verges of becoming instinct and most of the people I knew as friends have died just to give us this one chance of finally becoming able to fight back for the first time in over as century that my stay here is so casually ruining!! How the fuck can you call this a dire situation if the people here can effort themselves the luxury of worrying about the state of their economy?! They don't even have an army and all the fighting and training here is optional, so how the hell is this a desperate situation?!!

[Sasha lets in a calm, even inhale.]

First of all: Time does not pass in your world during your stay here. Second of all: there's a lot more to war than just soldiers on the warfront. This world puts people in their best roles, whether it's fighting out there, or feeding, housing, and healing the ones who come back alive.

[He shakes his head, but then abruptly has to turn away because his eyes have started to burn with tears that were born out of frustration.

He just couldn't believe such a ridiculous lie, not when there is even the sliver of a chance that it is wrong!]

I just can't believe that. How the hell am I supposed to react when I've spent the last three years of my life training to help win back the land the titans have soaked with our blood, but right when it's happened again and I can fight this time I'm dragged here and told to sit still and forget about it?! How am I supposed to trust such a suspicious claim without any sort of explanation or proof or it?!

Regardless if you decide to believe it or not, it won't change your situation. Do you honestly think you're the only one here that has to put aside everything they cherish and have worked for?

He shakes his head. No, he doesn't think that anybody else of 'them' had been taken from a time and place where they had been in a desperate death-race to prevent the annihilation of over the half of the remaining humanity that most of them would most likely not return from.]

... I don't think that you and I have the same idea if we think about desperation. To you this here is 'desperate'. I see people who can afford to live a normal life without constant fear of being killed for no better reason than them existing, who can come and go as they want without without restrictions and who can get new clothes and food like meat and cake whenever they please, and it's luxury to me.

If you really are making sacrifices then you're doing a shitty job at showing any of it. Have a good day.
