Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

[Morgan glanced over at the sound of the slightly familiar voice.]

Yes. And you're the girl who turns into a scimitar.

[Arms crossed, she looked up and down, assessing Nanami. Somewhat younger than she expected. But hopefully with decent experience since she was the only actual sword Weapon Morgan had encountered so far.]

I am.

[She's not exactly happy to be sized up by this woman but her posture remains perfect through the duration. And she kind of just waits because she's not very good with other girls...]

So... I guess did you want to try resonating?

[pirateninja]

Is that what they're calling it?

[She was still not crazy about this hand holding thing but the prospect of having a sword to work with outweighed it and she extended a hand.]

Might as well.

[Nanami's not crazy about partnering with a woman she doesn't know very well but the fact that she knows how to use a sword is a plus especially after working with the clueless Hamel

She reaches out and takes Morgan's hand... but of course she always has one request]

I'd rather you not watch me transform, so if you wouldn't mind closing your eyes for a minute...

[Morgan's grip was firm but her expression was a bit puzzled as one of her eyebrows went up.]

Not watch you transform? Why?

[Sure, it was kinda freaky seeing someone suddenly turn into an inanimate object but she managed not to flinch anymore. But she had no idea why the girl didn't want her to look. None of the other Weapons she'd talked to had objected.]

Well because... [she just frowns at her for a minute] it's uncomfortable for me.

[pirateninja]

Uncomfortable? No one else ever said that.

[morecowbell]

[She just looks dumbfounded for a minute, there's no way she was the only Weapon who felt that way.] Just because they don't say anything doesn't mean they aren't uncomfortable.

[pirateninja]

[She makes an impatient sound.] I don't see why but fine. Let's get on with it!

[And she turns her head.]

[And Nanami has learned to quickly transform the moment her partner looks away. Morgan should now feel the hilt in her hand.]

[Feeling the hilt in her hand, Morgan turned back and examined the sword, running a gloved hand along the flat of the blade. It was good to have a sword in her hand again, even if it wasn't the Blade of Dragotta. She held it up, testing the weight.]

[She probably feels a bit heavier than she does with her other partners but the fact that Morgan has stated that she knows how to use a sword has eased her mind a bit. She is simply thinking of this as a business transaction so her aura reaches out in a serious and bold manner.]

[pirateninja]

[The scimitar does feel somewhat heavier than her sword back home. And Morgan feels that odd nudge when a Weapon is trying to make a connection and tries to meet it although she's still not very skilled at that part. She doesn't mind serious and bold though; she's pretty businesslike herself.]

[She examines the hilt more closely and then experimentally makes a slashing motion.] This hilt wouldn't be good for knocking people out. [That was a common tactic of hers when she needed to capture someone alive.] And it'll take some adjustment but I should be able to work with this.

[It's not very deep, but like Morgan says, it's workable. In a pinch, Nanami can adjust her wavelength accordingly to fill any gaps. She can also feel that Morgan does indeed know how to use a sword and she can help Morgan with adjusting to her length thanks to Genesis' instruction]

The guard can be used to hook and disarm instead but in the case of most of these missions, we're going for the kill anyway. Yes, it seems to be okay I think we can manage.

[With the connection made, Nanami might sense a bit of Morgan's personality. Independent, confident, determined. She wanted a sword to wield again and she was going to make this work.]

You'll have to show me that trick. Might still come in handy. [It wouldn't hurt to know with an unfamiliar style of sword. At least, it's still a sabre.] Anything else I should know?

[Like with her other partners, she only reads the surface of everything while not poking further inside. Nanami's own personality was quite contradictory but what could be gleaned in the forefront was her pride and naïvety followed by some frustration, which was why she was throwing herself into work like this.]

Nothing specific comes to mind, is there anything I should know?

[pirateninja]

[Morgan got the vague impression the girl might have been a bit naive but she seemed willing to work so she'd overlook it for now. She took a few more experimental swings, noting how it differed from the movement of her cutlass.]

You don't get dizzy easily, do you?

[Nanami tries to see if a little bit of her new knowledge works by seeing if she can influence some of Morgan's movements to closer match her own style, she's concentrating so it takes her a minute to reply]

Not really, I'm pretty adept when it comes to physical activities.

[pirateninja]

Good. You can expect a lot of movement. [Because if you're working with Morgan, there will be backflips and somersaults!]

[But then she felt as if there were some unseen force guiding her a bit. It was a strange feeling and she stared at the sword in her hand.] Are you trying to move my arm?

[morecowbell]

It's a new technique I learned to help Meisters better understand how to use me. Is it uncomfortable?

[She's only tried it one one person before so she doesn't really know.]

[pirateninja]

It feels weird. [And not to mention kind of freaky to have a sword trying to move your arm for you.] I'd prefer to do it myself if you explain.

[morecowbell]

Oh. I'm afraid I'm not really a great teacher in that way but I'll see what I can do.

[Hmmm, she had tried it on Hamel last time and he was completely oblivious to it thinking he had just somehow suddenly become awesome. Perhaps he was just a bigger idiot than she originally thought.]

Then, couldn't you just change back and show me with one of those wooden swords they keep around here?

[Dante Dragotta had usually demonstrated new moves with his own cutlass when she studied with him.]

Yes, I could certainly demonstrate some movements.

[Morgan seems to use a fencing style and while Nanami has mixed a bit of that in with her own style it was still mostly based on kendo especially considering the length]

That sounds like it would work better. We could practice again after you show me what to do.

[It'd be less awkward than trying to take instruction from a talking sword anyway. So, she'll wait for Nanami to change back...]
