Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

Lily and Lezard | Open

[Still feeling guilty about what had happened on their last mission, Lily conceded that it might be a good idea to practice more. But preferably not where there would be an audience. So, they were in a clearing next to Lezard’s garden, far from the training area.]

[She looked down at the owner of said garden, who was currently in the form of an ornate but somewhat dented tome bound in dark blue leather, and frowned at the drawing on the page next to the Fire Lance spell. As usual, the sketch of Lezard was bare—thank goodness he only appeared from the waist up! But there was now a mark on his stomach, reminding her of that mission gone awry.]

Land sakes! Why are you still nekkid? With all the souls you’ve absorbed by now, shouldn’t you have figured out how to conjure some clothes?

[But after a while, they moved on to practicing. Book balanced in the crook of her left arm, Lily gripped a dagger made of fire in her right hand and used it to direct the half-dozen baseball-sized flames hovering in the air around her. Following the movement of the athame, the fireballs swirled around as if it were a fire juggling routine. It looked suspiciously like magic…]

[It was a pretty remote part of the park but if someone strayed far enough or had a good nose—Lily had accidentally burned a few twigs and the scent lingered—it wouldn’t be impossible to find them.]

[Lezard couldn't even be exasperated when it came to Lily's complaint of nudity- no, it was far more entertaining to roll along and play upon her exasperation. It made the 'land sakes' and 'sam hills' come out far more, and what could he say? He adored the Texas twang and everything that came with it.]

Think of it as a distraction to test your focus, though I wouldn't blame you for not looking away~

[Ah, but he was interested to see how she was directing the fire. His hand lifted to his face once again, but once again tapped against his face when he realized his glasses had gone as well. He quickly folded his arms.]

Hm. Can you adjust the speed? I will hold the resonance- see if we can't move them quickly, then slowly while maintaining utter control.

[And it worked... Lily yelled at the spellbook in her hand, forgetting about trying to keep their practice area secret. If she kept shouting like that, she might attract people from other parts of the park!]

As if I would want to look! You're the one who's being a pervert!

[But she turned her attention to the flames, moving them in a circle before her, the speed picking up until the bits of fire blurred together. Then, concentrating on them until they slowed and became distinct again.]

[Lily Ivory is an utter joy.]

Need I remind you that I've mentioned nothing of my state while transformed? No, no... it has always been a mention on your part!

[He observed as the flames quickened, circled, then gradually slowed.]

...Good. Should something surprise us, we will have no issue retaliating and greeting them in kind. But I wonder- can they be melded and perhaps strengthen in this manner?

[Her tone was indignant and the argument distracted her enough that the flames flickered as she manipulated two of them closer together, trying to blend them into each other.]
