Rating: PG-13 for violence of the training sort
Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 24th.

[It's only after Eren breaks the contact does Takuto realize he's been gritting his teeth, and even sweating a little bit. It'd only been a few moments of attempted resonance....

Still, Takuto blinks sharply at the other boy when he speaks up.]

It certainly won't work if we don't try. [There's nothing to say it will actually work, even if they spend every day trying to resonate, but the thought of wielding paired swords is too much for him to resist.]

[Eren had only meant this way of attempting resonance, but he still stops and inclines his head in thought.]

If I transform I might end up hurting you. [For all means it's a justified thing to worry about.]

[tauborn]

[He frowns.] I thought you said your weapon form was two swords. [His frown deepens.] And I told you that I'm used to that. I've been trained as a dual wielder since I was about five years old. [And now his frown turns into a rather flat stare.] That means I know what I'm doing, you know.

Besides, resonance is kind of meaningless unless you actually transform.

[everylastone]

My 'form' is a three-dimensional maneuver gear. [He corrects.] It's like a complicated harness and the swords are only part of it.

do you want to meet up to spar in the most recent training log?

[tauborn]

Okay, so you're a harness with swords. [He pauses. He used to be Tauburn's driver.] I'm pretty confident I can manage that.

[He shrugs.] But if you're not confident about it, then I'll prove it.

Sure! :D

[everylastone]

Oho? You sure talk big for somebody who doesn't even know what a three-dimensional maneuver gear is. [He can't help but taunt in return, feeling irked that somebody would think that he can do right away what Eren and his friends spent years on learning.]

But if you're that confident, then why don't I change right here and you can try putting the gear on? If you actually manage to put it on properly I'll try resonating with you again.

[tauborn]

Fine. [He's ready for the challenge--and if he ends up messing it up, he'll just convince Eren to resonate again later anyway. He stands back and waits for Eren to transform, carefully holding his own wavelength back to avoid accidentally resonating before Eren is ready.]

[everylastone]

Good. [He bites his hand by instinct and without hesitation, making the already familiar taste of blood in his mouth his mental cue to step away from his physical body and let it do things that his mind would only be in the way for anyway.

Still, it's strange to change like that and feel like you are watching everything from an outside perspective like a dream.

Takuto is in the meantime greeted with a mess of leather lashes and belts, buckles, random pieces that could go at the back and the shoulders, a strangely formed mechanical mechanism, sheaths and pairs of grapple hooks and handgrips, all connected with even more wires and straps. The only thing that seems to be missing are the actual blades.]

[Whatever works to aid in transformation works, though Takuto is a little weirded out that Eren has to bite his hand. But... whatever floats his boat....

And then he stares at the pile of leather and buckles and wires and hooks and is utterly lost. He reaches down to try to figure out how it all fits together. Maybe the swords are in the sheaths? He pokes at a buckle and gently plucks a wire, not exactly asking for resonance but trying to remain receptive if he does something Eren finds offensive.

He's just... just going to try to sort it all out, even though that's hard when he's never seen this weapon type before and doesn't particularly know what it's supposed to look like or even do. But the sheaths should be on the back, or at the hips, right? So those extra wires would have to go... uh.... He's prodding pieces of harness and delicately moving things around, and maybe that bit there is supposed to fit on his wrist or something....]

[everylastone]

[There is a smug feeling of satisfaction coming from Eren as he watches Takuto try and inadvertently get himself tangled in it. Not even a trained soldier would be able to sort this mess out right away, so who was this fool to think that he could just go there and top them like that?]

Having problems with it after all, don't you? Go ahead, you can try and tug all you want, I don't mind. It won't help you, though. [He still didn't outright reject Takuto, but he's definitelny not being helpful either.]

[tauborn]

[The problem was that his weapon form didn't really even look like the harness plus swords combo he was supposed to be. But if Eren says it's okay to tug and test things, then that's what he's going to do. He's confident he'll be able to figure it out at some point, even if it takes him hours....]

You're a little more complicated than I expected....

[everylastone]

[The rougher handling is a little bit unpleasant, but since he suggested it himself Eren sucks it up.]

I'm going to take that as a compliment. [and ignore that it feels as if Takuto just wrapped his leg twice around his arm.]
