Morning Training!

Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on July 8th.

How are your missions going?

[Of course she doesn't. When do either of them ever just ask for help?]

The last one was... unpleasant, but successful. We will be heading out today as well.

[Yeah, they need to work on that.]

Unpleasant? Which one was it?

The one in Guatemala, with shape-shifting kishin eggs.

[He frowns.]

Perhaps it was the Madness wavelength at work, but they took on forms that would hit us the hardest. Neither of us was expecting it.

I see... I'm glad you both managed.

[She saw that mission on the board, but headed off after Grimm instead. Today would be whales, but if any of those missions came up again, perhaps her and Kanji would go. Watson whines between them and paws at Raidou's hand.]

It was harder on Alucard-san than it was on me... Some things you simply can't prepare for.

[His thoughts are interrupted by the pup seeking his attention. He blinks, then pets Watson again.]

[pishirogane]

Hmmm...

[Obviously, Raidou may know a little more about Alucard, but she can guess at what he may see.]

[Naoto watches Watson as he flops over at the pets and playfully paws at Raidou's hands. Occasionally, he tries nipping at the other agent's fingers.]

[Raidou smiles faintly as he gives the puppy tummy skritches. That reminds him, he hasn't spoken with Amaterasu-sama in quite a while...]

Well, nothing to do but move on, is there?

[pishirogane]

[Watson will now attempt to monopolize most of Raidou's attention with palm licks]

Try to move on, yes. The memory will be fresh for a while.

I suspect it always will be... but we'll manage.

[pishirogane]

It's all we can do.

[She seems to hiccup for a moment and bites back a wince. Maybe the mission with the Grimm had been a bad choice.]

[timelessummoner]

[Her discomfort is a little worrying, but if she says she's alright...]

...So what is this mission you'll be taking today?

[pishirogane]

It's on the east coast. Red whales are attacking and capsizing fishermen's boats it seems. No doubt they're kishin eggs.

[timelessummoner]

I see... That could be a difficult fight if it drags on for too long. The kishin eggs will be in their natural element.

[pishirogane]

Yes. We'll have to plan accordingly. Luring them onto a sandbank would probably work, but they don't allow the boats to get far enough.

[timelessummoner]

You two have ranged attacks, correct? Do you think your reach will be far enough to hit them from a safe distance?

[pishirogane]

[She nods]

It is. I'm sure of that.

[timelessummoner]

Then you should be fine as long as you finish them off before they can close the distance.

[pishirogane]

We'll see. If it's more than one, there will be a few complications.

[timelessummoner]

Or if they are smart enough to go underwater.

[pishirogane]

Hm... we'll have to use a lure.

[timelessummoner]

Well, we know their preferred targets. [He frowns.] It would be unfortunate to put any of the locals at risk, but you may not have much choice.

[pishirogane]

They'll be fine. We won't put them at risk.
