Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on July 8th.

Vincent will you focus!? [ It will be no small wonder if half the morning training field hasn't heard them by now, Re-l groaning about being trained in hand to hand combat, no matter how much she needed the assistance. After all, she'd only been trained with a gun, but then again, if this kept on - Re-l huffs, pushing aside the realization that Vincent could probably honestly hurt her without meaning to for her usual stubborn insistence, facing him squarely again, jaw set and determined.

Of all people she could trust not to throw her around or underestimate her, and here she was having to remind Vincent that they were partners, and blushing every time they so much as touched was ridiculous - ]

I need to learn this, and bruises fade quickly - again. It's too hot to draw this out too long.

S-Sorry...! [ the flustering response from Re-l's partner soon follows after her barking demand, and he's soon working to ready himself for their next bout. unfortunately, he's not sure how focused he'll be able to get, the rapid beating of his heart enough to echo within his ears as he nervously faces her.

it was one thing to be training Re-l of all people (going overboard was the last thing he wanted to do...), but being this physical with her... well, that was enough to embarrass him! he snaps out of his thoughts when Re-l continues speaking, giving an apologetic look towards her ]

I know... I know... I just.... don't want to over do it... [ ... he admitted half the truth at least? ]

[ it would be flattering, if she wasn't so assured that she'd have a very mild case of sunburn, if they stayed in the same place for very long, no matter the fact that she'd done the religious application of sun screen that she always did in the mornings before they went to training. When, however, he would get used to training, and being in close contact with her without blubbering around was her best question, at the moment. ]

Unless you're going to show up as a proxy, in the next few minutes, I'm sure you'll be fine, Vincent. [ And man, that condescending look. ] So stop sissy footing around.

[ unfortunately, it doesn't seem like he'll be getting used to it any time soon, the mere thought of having to physical combat with her enough to get him all worked up. certainly a challenge for them to overcome as partners, no doubt...

he gives a hesitant look before nodding once, readying himself as he stared her down, trying to think of the best way to go about this without a.) embarrassing himself and becoming a flustered mess, b.) pissing Re-l off due to the lack of actual hand-to-hand combat, and c.) ... without embarrassing himself.

after a minute or so, though... ]

A-Alright... here I come! [ and without another word, he starts off, running towards her, preparing to throw his initial punch at her.......... and no doubt holding back as much as possible (when he meant to hold back only half or even a quarter), just so he wouldn't hurt her too bad... ]

[ Re-l just stands and waits, challenging him to not do what she's asked him to simply by the expression on her face. It was gratifying, in the end, that he didn't want to injure her by accident or on purpose, but at moments like these, she needed the experience more than the lacking bruises. She was sure that they would be confronted with more things than she could just shoot and handle that way, and if she was unprepared, it was her fault more so than anyone else's.

So she might as well be prepared, right?

The inspector braces herself as he comes at her, managing to at least catch him with a soft grunt of exertion, reminding herself that she was stronger than most people here probably knew of, technically. With that done, she moves to try and at least throw him off, not at full strength, but... pretty close. ]
