Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

If y'all are still cleaning up, Kanji can take some time off from the shop. [She realized now her disappearance probably hadn't come at the most opportune time, being only a couple of days after the mission. And she had entrusted the spare set of shop keys to him so if he had chosen to open, he'd probably been kept occupied the last few days.] I was hoping to find him and let him know I'm back.

[pishirogane]

Yes, there were. [She sighs]

No, we're almost done. We're considering moving while everything needs to be tided up. [Naoto glances around] He should be back soon. He left to get some water.

[vintage_magic]

Moving? But I thought y'all already lived in one of the larger apartments. [She usually just sees Kanji at the shop but she did drop off a jar of poultice for him once at the apartment.]

[And she nods.] Okay, I can wait for a few minutes.

[pishirogane]

We do, but we've decided to start paying rent. [Besides, they've both been wanting more space for themselves.]

[Naoto nods and Poe hops up her shoulder] Would you like to sit down?

Ah, I see. I've thought about renting one of those bigger places myself but it's been taking a lot of money to keep the shop stocked and running.

[With a nod, she settles on the grass, taking the opportunity to glance over at Poe.] I reckon there's a story behind how you got a crow as a pet?

[pishirogane]

Yes.

[Stability is always an issue. Naoto turns and Poe shakes out his feathers] Yes. A long story with a few speculative details.

Too long to tell before Kanji gets back? [She wonders if it's as sudden as how she ended up with Oscar.]

No. I'm sure I can summarize it with sufficient detail.

So, how did you end up with a pet crow?

[pishirogane]

It was a mission to Bonn, Germany. A Kishin egg was manipulating crows to attack humans so it was necessary to temporarily knock them out in order to locate the one holding them all. Controlled or not, a number were not pleased to be shot out of the sky. Poe was one of them, but he was the only one who decided to follow through by finding us.

He followed you all the way from Germany? [That would be quite a long flight!] Or do you mean he chased you through the mirror on the way back?

[pishirogane]

He may have followed us through the mirror. It's something to consider since he had the energy to attack me during morning training briefly.

He attacked you? I reckon that's not how most people get to know their pets...

I concur. However, that's how it happened once the walnuts came out.

Um, walnuts? Where do they fit into this story?

[pishirogane]

During the attack, I managed to talk him down and gave him some walnuts as a peace offering.

Do we want Kanji to actually pop in later or should I just talk to Ami and handwave that part?

Oh. So, you managed to tame him and take him in as a pet after that?

*Emerges in a cloud of glitter*

S'less 'pet' and more 'housemate that pecks everything'.

[He was just returning with a bottled water in each hand, passing one to Naoto before he did a double-take.]

Lily!? When the hell didja get back?

AHHH GLITTER

Yes, that would be accurate.

[She accepted the water bottle with a soft 'thank you' and blinks at his reaction]

... Oh yes. I insisted you sleep, didn't I? It was very early this morning.

Kanji! I was looking for you! [Well, that was probably a bit obvious.]

That contraption always seems to drag me back here late at night. And I didn't hear from you then so I wanted to check on how things were with the shop. I hope there wasn't too much trouble?

You mean you saw that? [She glanced at Naoto. Lily hoped she hadn't gotten the wrong idea as Lezard had!]

Huh? Me?

...Oh. Yeah, the store's fine. People were askin' for ya and were bummed as hell when I told 'em BREW went n' tossed ya home.

[But he blinked. He didn't remember that conversation, but he was more than likely so tired and braindead at that hour that he mumbled his compliance and went back to sleep. But that meant Naoto stayed up late again... that night owl.]

[It wasn't that late. Just some final adjustments here and there in her room.]

I did. Unfortunately, most of our apartment has been boxed up. I doubt anything I had would've fit anyway...

[She blinked. Sure, she had gained a few regular customers since she opened but...] People were asking about me? [That surprised her a bit.] ...Um, there wasn't a geeky-looking guy giving you trouble, was there?

[And land sakes! Did everyone come to such an embarrassing conclusion?! Cheeks burning, she put up her hands in protest.] It wasn't what it looked like! I just needed shoes!

...I'unno. --Oh, yeah, there was this one dude who hung around once or twice askin' for you, but when I told him you weren't around he buzzed off to do whatever.

Why? S'he a friend or somethin'?

[Naoto blinks]

I deduced that from the responses, Ivory-san. You'll see though, my feet aren't that big nor would my shoes be comfortable. [One foot forward actually to show her feet and also the sole.]

A geeky man? Is he a stalker? [Did they have to arrest someone.]
