Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

During the attack, I managed to talk him down and gave him some walnuts as a peace offering.

Do we want Kanji to actually pop in later or should I just talk to Ami and handwave that part?

[She accepted the water bottle with a soft 'thank you' and blinks at his reaction]

... Oh yes. I insisted you sleep, didn't I? It was very early this morning.

Kanji! I was looking for you! [Well, that was probably a bit obvious.]

That contraption always seems to drag me back here late at night. And I didn't hear from you then so I wanted to check on how things were with the shop. I hope there wasn't too much trouble?

You mean you saw that? [She glanced at Naoto. Lily hoped she hadn't gotten the wrong idea as Lezard had!]

Huh? Me?

...Oh. Yeah, the store's fine. People were askin' for ya and were bummed as hell when I told 'em BREW went n' tossed ya home.

[But he blinked. He didn't remember that conversation, but he was more than likely so tired and braindead at that hour that he mumbled his compliance and went back to sleep. But that meant Naoto stayed up late again... that night owl.]

[It wasn't that late. Just some final adjustments here and there in her room.]

I did. Unfortunately, most of our apartment has been boxed up. I doubt anything I had would've fit anyway...

[She blinked. Sure, she had gained a few regular customers since she opened but...] People were asking about me? [That surprised her a bit.] ...Um, there wasn't a geeky-looking guy giving you trouble, was there?

[And land sakes! Did everyone come to such an embarrassing conclusion?! Cheeks burning, she put up her hands in protest.] It wasn't what it looked like! I just needed shoes!

...I'unno. --Oh, yeah, there was this one dude who hung around once or twice askin' for you, but when I told him you weren't around he buzzed off to do whatever.

Why? S'he a friend or somethin'?

[Naoto blinks]

I deduced that from the responses, Ivory-san. You'll see though, my feet aren't that big nor would my shoes be comfortable. [One foot forward actually to show her feet and also the sole.]

A geeky man? Is he a stalker? [Did they have to arrest someone.]

[And Lezard made her think he might have actually given them trouble at the store! Now, she wished she hadn't brought it up.]

Um... My neighbor. [Although with how often he showed up, there were times when Lily had wondered if Lezard was stalking her!]

Oh, I didn't realize. [Dag nab it! Naoto was able to see the responses, too? Did that mean everyone was? And she had been talking about casting and a soul trapped in a mirror. As if she didn't have enough reasons to dislike those gadgets already!]

[She laughed nervously and quickly tried to change the subject.] Oh, Kanji, did Keroro ever call you about making an appointment at the shop?

Um, no, it's okay. I reckon he just might not have a time when everyone's available yet. He said something about wanting dresses as costumes for a game. [She still doesn't really understand why this game needs costumes but if it means a sale...]

Filter? I've just never been good with gadgets... [Why the heck did these smartphone things assume you wanted to talk to everyone anyway? She would have expected them to work somewhat like a regular phone!]

Cosplay? What's that? [And turning to Naoto with a blink.] You do? [She's still confused because she's been picturing girls in fancy dresses playing some kind of board game.]

Um, okay... [Still, it seemed like it would be safer to stay away from those gadgets unless she was doing something innocuous like calling Kanji about work...]

Cosplay's... 'costume play'. Think Halloween, people runnin' around in costume doin' whatever. But a lotta people like wearin' costumes any time of year, or like to pretend to be the character they're dressin' up like.

The maid n' butler cafes in the city... that's cosplay. None of 'em're the real thing, just people dressin' up and acting the part.

Indeed. It will even keep your 'neighbor' from eavesdropping unless he's in close proximity.

[Naoto looks over at Kanji as he explains cosplay. Even she did it sometimes... she loved her detective costume. Styled in the late-19th Century fashion.]

[At the mention of the maid and butler cafe, she blinked. Didn't they get asked to help out?]

Like Mardi Gras or costume parties? [She can kind of understand wearing costumes for certain occasions. Heck, she was dressed as a flapper for the Art Deco Ball just last night! But...] Maid and butler cafes? [Somehow, she's managed to not stumble on those yet.]

Um, okay... [But it was more that she was worried someone overheard her conversations with Lezard than the other way around!]
