Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

[Hiro is definitely not wearing his signature jacket today. Too stinking hot. Currently, he's just sitting in the shade, taking a few moments to wipe the sweat off his face and get his energy up before throwing himself into training again. He really needs the practice, given that he never used a real weapon back at home.]

[There is no apparent reason for Hades to approach the young man and suddenly make himself comfortable on the ground next to him, which is exactly why the dark god is doing it.]

Hello. [He regards him with a strange smile that is reflected in the quality of his voice; gentle yet without any real warmth and somehow sounding exhausted despite the faintly amused lilt in it.] You seem displaced.

[If Hiro wants to look he might notice that Hades has once again taken to his unusual style of clothing. aka. wear at least some damn pants!]

[Hiro startles a bit when he notices his visitor. He's got something of a knee-jerk reaction to demons or things that could pass for them, even after all this time.]

Uh... hello. What do you mean "displaced?"

[He regains his composure and manages to squeeze out a smile.]

[A shimmer of surprise crosses Hades' face at the smile but he is quick to return it with his own growing a touch wider and warmer.]

That you are one of the taken ones. Recent, I surmise.

[Some demons have speech quirks, Hades has the bad habit to assume that everybody just knows the context of everything he says unless it gets pointed out to him that he doesn't make any sense. He also enjoys speaking in roundabout ways rather than simply saying that he hasn't seen Hiro around before.]

Taken ones? [It takes him a moment, but he gets it.] Oh, right! Yeah, very recent. I just came here a few days ago.

Is that so? Then you must be hating your fate right now in that case.

[everyonesconfidant]

Not... really? [Somehow, the idea of hating his fate strikes him as a bit odd.] I don't know. I guess you could say I'm kind of used to things happening like the riots.

Was I wrong? How pleasant and rare. [Being happy about being wrong might seem strange, but Hades really feels that way. It happens far too rarely and is a good sign in his opinion.]

I guess so. I mean, I'd rather be at home, but even with the riots, I'm not really "cursing my fate" or anything like that.

[kill_some_time]

[Hades humms under his breath, looking bemused.]

...Maybe the situation is not dire enough yet.

That certainly sounds ominous. Is there something I should know about this place that I don't?

I don't know. What do you know about this place?

Hey, don't turn the question around on me! Um... I know that this place is at war with Witches, we've been drafted by Shibusen to fight them, and I'm starting to know the basic layout of the place. I haven't been here too long.

[kill_some_time]

[He cocks his head to the side like a thoughtful vulture. Something that a human might deem important information about this place... ]

Kishin eggs... The evil that you, it fight has humans as its source.

That's right... they're humans that were corrupted by killing others. Right?

Yes and no.... All I can say is that it would be wise for you to want to keep an eye on the madness radiation of the places you are at any given time. ...and the water.

[everyonesconfidant]

Madness radiation... I guess I can see how that would be connected. But what about the water?

[He leans back, looking pleased.]

Souls might be not visible to the bare eye. But do they melt?

[everyonesconfidant]

Souls... melting? I've never heard about anything like that.

[Now he's confused. Hooray for enigmatic statements.]

That is why I would watch the water. [He pauses for a moment.] Both of my brothers have already fallen. I wonder how long it will take until it is the same for me.

[everyonesconfidant]

You've lost your brothers in this war? I'm sorry.

[Maybe he's taking it a little literally?]

Don't be. Zeus and Poseidon both... How would you mortals phrase it? Had it coming? [A strange smile plays over his lips, part amused, part frown, part knowing and somehow not really happy.] Both the Sea and the Sky were responsible for their own actions. It would be foolish to regret them having received their consequences.

... the only regret I might have in this matter is that I am hardly the right god suited to be the only one left.

So they died and left you with a lot of responsibilities that you're not sure you can handle? Or is there something else that makes you not the right one to be left behind?

Nothing like that. Do you not know what kind of god Hades is, little one?

...and that I can't pass time with Apollo anymore. It was fun watching his flaring temper and youthful naivety.
