Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

M.. me too. [ It's half-mumbled as if she's afraid someone else will hear despite them being occupied, and she ends up hiding her eyes behind her bangs a little. ] But it's not like I go around just saying it that plainly, idiot..

[Could be worse, they could be particularly bright and frilly. Today, he nixed the brightness and the frills.

"Sup buoy"? He shouldn't have expected anything else from a troll. Edgeworth was certain this was another troll. Not only the troll who hung out with Stein, but the troll who had taken to selling cakes. Her name escapes him at the moment, however.]

I'm surprised you haven't discovered your Meister ability after spending a considerable amount of time with Dr. Stein.

[prosecutory]

[Not at all odd for Edgeworth, of course. He walks up to her, and greets her with the usual polite bow, practice sword under one arm. While in the past he might have been hesitant to ask her to spar with him outside the usual lessons, but now that he was more knowledgeable in the field of physical combat (and more adept, of course), why should he back down from a learning opportunity?]

[ He couldn't help but find it cute every time she blushed to match her hair. He held his sword back up. ]

Someone gotta say it plainly, might as well be me. [ He smiled to her. ] Come on, let's go back to practicing.

Huh? Oh, yeah! He's my best friend. [Grin.] You should say hi to him if you see him around. He's pretty easy to spot. [Gestures to his hair.] His hair's teal. [YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT. HE CAN POINT OUT MORE THAN THAT JOHAN WEARS PURPLE CLOTHES NOW.]

Just never been around them much, huh? I never had pets either until recently back home. We couldn't afford it when I was growing up and then I moved so much that it wasn't practical. [After leaving her hometown, she'd never stayed in one place more than several months until San Francisco.]

[And she chuckles a bit at that last part.] I won't. Besides, Beowulf is still in San Francisco so Yuri wouldn't be able to adopt it anyway.

[With a laugh, Judai flops back to lie down in the grass.]

I gotta admit, it's actually pretty nice being here. It's warm, I have food and a bed, and while I miss traveling, it's actually really nice to stay in one place for a little bit.

[He looks over at Shinji.] You ever traveled at all?

Not really, I never had much of an opportunity.

[What with all the school, training, and tests and whatnot.]

Oh, man. Bummer. You really should if you get the chance. Venice is pretty great. [Pause.] Um, when it's not getting destroyed, but whatever. [He waves a hand dismissively.]

[... Okaayy? That's kind of weird to just mention off-handedly?]

Getting... destroyed?

Oh, yeah. There's was this guy, Paradox, from the future. He chased me around Venice with a dragon and it destroyed most of the city. But it's okay because we went back in time and stopped him. [He laughs.] Time travel...

[hedgehogsdilemma]

[Haha okay Judai Shinji's officially going to label you 'strange' in his mind. But hey at least you don't seem like a bad person, your world just sounds kind of... odd.]

Is... stuff like that normal in your world?

[Judai makes a face and shakes his head.]

No, not really. I just kind of... attract weird things, I guess! [He won't mention that it's probably because he's the King of the Dark World. Whatever.] But hey, it made it a lot easier for me to handle this whole change than if I hadn't time traveled before!

[Oh. She probably doesn't know if she's only been here a couple of weeks.]

It was a traveling carnival that visited. I don't know how the heck that thing floated though. [She frowns.] It fell down the day the city was attacked by giant bugs and the folks from the carnival have been living in the city as refugees.

Oh...yes, I think I remember someone mentioning that.

[She'd thought at the time perhaps there was a connection to the riots, after all]

You think it's connected or is that just how things turn out here?

[Still sitting, Ammy looks over at Anri, but then glances around. She would be fine in a while, but this was a sign that they would have to build up to the speed Amaterasu fights at.]

[Eventually, she recovers enough to speak if still not to stand]

Really? That's wonderful, congratulations! Ahhh, but I can only imagine how difficult that has to be, being separated from your brand-new wife.

[Amaterasu turns back and lets her tail wag. She's back to being unable to speak, but hopefully, Anri can understand how happy she was to help.]

It does suck a lot. Suzi's a great woman. [Another small sigh.] But I gotta say, I like the idea of fighting again a lot more than sitting around and doing nothing.

[She whines with a note of contentment. Nope, she's good.]

[Oh, she nods. She doesn't want to even imagine that really... but she already has. Totally not pleasant.]
