Morning Training

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.

Mm, there certainly be those like that, but it not be of any help if thou art looking to fight.

Yeah, he said that he doesn't like fighting, but he's still pretty good. I'm guessing that for him fighting is what's called, um... "a necessary evil"? Is that the right phrase?

Hmm, I see. Well, at least he be able to defend himself if it cometh down to it. Still, thou mayest want to look for another partner with which to take a more active role.

Yeah, that's the most important part. [She sighs and looks over to where the Meisters and Weapons were meeting up.]

The same idea occurred to me, actually. I just hope I can find one who's not wary of different weapon styles.

It certainly not be a traditional weapon-style that many would be familiar with. I suppose we art both in that boat though.

[She turns back to the other woman.]

Yeah, I guess we are. [A pause.] Since we have that in common, I've been wondering: Are you from another world as well? Or are you from here?

Another world. Well, it still be Earth, but not one like this with witches and humans who turn into weapons.

[ninjainviolet]

[Sheena looks at the girl in astonishment before shaking her head.]

You know, I really didn't think there'd be more than one of this planet, but now that you mention it, the existence of witches and others being able to change would be pretty obvious, wouldn't it?

[obimycommands]

And certainly, the world I know hath no ridiculous celestial bodies such as those. [She points at the sun. THE SUN.]

[Sheena looked to where she was pointing, and nodded.]

My world doesn't, either. I, uh, think this one may be the only one that does. [She had a sudden thought.]

By the way, did they warn you about the sun?

I hope that be the case.

Warn? [She tilted her head curiously] In what sense dost thou mean?

[She looks at her in disbelief.] I can't believe no one told you. They told us the first day we got here.

[She points at the sun.]

When it gets close to dusk, the sun starts to fall asleep, and it drools. They even have a game for it called "Dodge the Drool."

[obimycommands]

What.

It drooleth? Over us? [Kiriha can't recall ever seeing the sun directly overhead, but then, she's never paid it special attention]

Yeah. I know it's not as important as why we were brought here, but I think it should be mentioned almost immediately, don't you?

[She chuckles.]

It's good for training your speed and reflexes, though.

[obimycommands]

That be disgusting. I'll make a note to stay indoors in the evenings.

Yeah, it is disgusting. But, you can't always plan things like that, so I use one of these:

[She pulls out a compact umbrella.]

I wish they had these back home for when it rains.

Well, I suppose I can shield myself...

[She demonstrates, using her two lengths of obi to do a shield weave over her head.]

[Sheena watches and nods.]

You could, but remember, that's still a part of you. This [She holds up the umbrella] isn't and can be put aside to dry a lot better.
