Morning Training

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.

[Wow, so the marshmallow was this kind of person all along?

The only response Sai has to his expression is a blink and then a smile as his day finally gets off to a good start.]

[He blinks as well and suddenly a good lot of the spikiness seems to vanish from his appearance and attitude. He doesn't avoid direct eye-contact and his pose and voice are proud, though.]

If that's the case [he sneers] then you'll surely not mind letting go of me now.

Eh~? [The smile never changes as he watches this Bakura. There's something off about this guy, and he's determined to figure out if his guess is right.]

[Sai's smile and voice are both chirpy and cheerful as he continues to refuse to let go.]

[The word is pure mocking because he has decided that he doesn't care enough to keep on acting.]

[That was the last thing that Sai thought of Bakura. Especially from the way he always seemed to jump in every time it looked like Sai was bullying Yako. Wimps wouldn't do something like that. Or if they did, Sai was sure that it wouldn't have been so calmly.

But he shrugs.]

[He shrugs, almost as if he doesn't care. His eyes are watching closely though, because suddenly Bakura got a lot more interesting.]

[He gives him a cool look - not at all afraid to meet his eyes- and then looks demonstratively on his arm that is still being held.]

I would be doing something wrong if I were that easy to see through.

[That look just makes Sai more determined to hold on to that arm, his eyes still staring fixedly at this face that he still found strange.]

And apparently you're good at pretending to be genuine as well.

[For a moment Bakura finds himself thinking about that knife in his pocket. By now he is sorely tempted to take it out and help Sai letting go by removing his fingers.

Instead he smiles and for a moment he is wholly Ryou Bakura again.]

Thanks! I'm working hard on making it as convincing as possible. [Which does nothing for explaining why he would so willingly reveal such a thing.]

[Sai returns that smile with a warm one of his own, every line of his body oozing curiosity and all-round genuineness. If only his smile wasn't all sharp edges.]

[Seeing the sharp edges his smile grows even more saccharine.]

It helped that he really was a bit childish and silly even back when he was capable of tearing people in half without much thought or effort.]
