Characters: Everyone!
Location: Training Ground, Shibusen
Rating: PG-13 for violence
Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.
Official areas:
FAQ: In need of help or answers? Come here! Staffed by Tenten and Neji.
Breakfast: The incentive for coming to Morning Training for those who actually don't care about Death City. All food providers are given funds to buy/prepare the food and are then paid for the time they spent cooking/preparing. Provided by Saya and Fabiola
Combat Instruction: One can learn and improve on fighting techniques! Staffed by Cloud and Genesis
Sparring: A bunch of people are there. You show up and pick one to fight. Staffed by Hanabi (beginners), Fabiola (intermediate), Amaterasu and Cloud (advanced), and Overseen by Neji
Weapon Transformation: New Weapon? Unsure on how to transform into a weapon (or how to transform back)? Go here! Staffed by Bakura, Aqua, and Gray
Soul Perception: Find out more about your soul, what they are, and what they potentially may do.
Partner Training: Learn how to work as a partner!
Weapons Handling Training: Learn how to handle sharp things and not so sharp things! Staffed by Tenten and Auron
Shooting Range: Learn to shoot a gun, not at quail though, so expect your face to come out of this just fine. Staffed by Sarah Kerrigan, Naoto, Giroro
Meister Ability Helpers: Learn about your Meister ability and how to use it. Staffed by Edgeworth
Finding a Partner: Unpartnered Weapons and Meisters meet each other here!
Medics: A place for medics to hang out, recruit and aid the injured - especially if they get shot in the face by accident. Staffed by Rosalia and CR-S01
Watch: This is where members of the watch meet up, chill, recruit and train! People interested in the watch welcome!
SEES: This is where SEES members hang out, and recruit!
Hug Brigade: A begrudgingly still opened squad dedicated to hugs of encouragement. Thank Lee for this! Staffed by Lee
Evacuation Briefing/Process: Learn what to do in case the city is invaded. Will most likely come in handy for the future! Staffed by Tenten and Neji
Feel free to make your own threads!

I thought that might be the case... art there some sort of classes? Art thou expected to sign up, or find a teacher, or is it as unorganized as it looks? [Not that she's particularly interested in training, convinced that she totally knows all she needs to about fighting shit and being a weapon]

But more specific to this gathering, this is a morning practice session to apply the principles and concepts that are inherent to the world itself. The anarchy you are exposed to is most definitely because you have yet to fully acquaint yourself with all the services that are available here. And there is a lot to go over. Let's see if I can keep myself from becoming overbearing and only provide the basic information.
[She points to the booth where most of the people have gathered. They have plates and cups and seem to not be doing much "training" as it were.] That is the Breakfast table. Some might say that is the most important place in this entire training ground. The truthfulness behind that statement truly lies with how hungry you are. Hehe.
[She points in the direction where a handful of people are gathered around one or two other ones who seem to be leading discussions.] That is the combat instruction area. I would not advise going there, as typically instructors choose their members to participate prior to coordinating students. But I don't suppose it would hurt to introduce yourself if you are so inclined.
[She points to the open areas where a pair of people are standing off to each other. From a distance it's plain to see they are sparring.] Those are the sparring mats. It's also a place I wouldn't recommend wandering onto without any preparation. Though, you may be interested in observing the current matches. It is also a very good place to see firsthand how meisters and weapons coordinate themselves and deal damaging blows to their opponents.
[she pauses a bit and looks over at Kiriha.] Of course you may already be aware of this but it bares stating that the training grounds are set to end when the first person hits the mat. The people of Death City generally frown on actual death unless it is to their kinshin eggs or other witches.
[She points with twin fingers now -- they're relatively smaller areas but they seem to also have a decent sized group of people gathered to each.] Those are the training areas for the weapons, [she motions with her pointer finger] and the meisters, [she motions with her index finger]. Both are provided with tips and evaluations from other weapons and meisters to provide an opportunity to develop their skills in their respective medium. And between them is where meisters and weapons gather in order to establish partnerships and practice collectively.
[She pauses to look at her again, a smile forming on her face.] There's no sense practicing and developing your skills individually when you need to work in a team, right?
On the far end of those two training areas you'll find a tent errected specifically to determine your soul wavelength and whether or not you are a weapon or meister. They provide the screening when you first get here, but apparently not everybody ventures to have themselves checked during that time. This is an excellent opportunity if you haven't already done so.
To the far end [she points to an area dotted with open fields and targets of all kinds]. You'll see the shooting range. Apparently there are some weapons that are artillery-based and making sure that you are a crack shot and not just cracked will be incredibly appropriate to determine your effectiveness with ballistics.
Finally [pointing to a white tent now] the medic tent, where individuals practiced in the administration of the injured treat those that have experienced less than ideal outcomes to their physical endeavors. I hope you don't need to go there on your first day, but there's always a possibility.
[She takes a look around and gets reminded of one last thing.] Oh! There's also the tents and tables intended for the various groups that are often looking for new members. Quite a few of these are either social, like the SEES and the Hug Brigade, or practical, like the Watch.

I, I see... it seems thou art quite knowledgeable about all of this.
[She looks around, trying to go back over each place the troll pointed out - sparring, partners, medics, hug brigade - wait what]
Hug Brigade?
no subject
If you need me to repeat anything, do feel free to ask. I have no problem backtracking if it ensures that you understand what is going on. [Actually, she wouldn't mind if you understood it perfectly, but that's her.]
The hug brigade is a social organization that provides comfort and assurance to the beleaguered and emotionally defeated. It is a perfect opportunity for a psychological pick-me-up, or for those with gregarious dispositions to provide an avenue of signifying their readiness to provide emotional support.

Oh, so it's a sort of therapy and counseling group. I hadn't expected so much from such a carefree name.
no subject
Yes, indeed! I often find that giving groups and people the benefit of the doubt is usually a good idea. You might find something very good in a little bit of silliness.

Oh? I don't think I'veheard of a tsukomogami before. Though, maybe I have, there is something vaguely familiar about it.

[This may be especially pertinent, considering her origins.]

Except for the part where... apparently we art to eat them? [She's still dubious about this whole business] Is there a reason for doing that? I was told it was to dispose of the evil souls of those vanquished, by why by such methods?
no subject
The souls infuse with your own and becomes a source a strength. Through this process you become more powerful until you reach maximum efficiency.
[She finds it abhorrent.]

[Kiriha seems less disturbed, if anything, by that explanation. She was mostly irritated when Hades made it sound like Shibusen just used them as sinner disposal units]

In any event, I believe that should cover the questions that you might have. If you want me to direct you to the next place that you like to visit, I would be more than happy to do so.

I think I shall look around mineself and inspect them. You have mine gratitude for thy help.
