Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.

Then I'm right on schedule.

I'm still getting a feel for "resonation"...it reminds me of something I did back home. Actually, a lot of this is pretty familiar--that is, being sent on missions to fight an enemy. I think the hardest thing to get used to is how things work in America, actually.

Humans in this half of the world baffle me. They keep thinking I'm a large white dog someone's painted on. What is it with that?

I think you'd run into the same problem in Japan--at least, in the era I'm from.

[It sounds so weird to say it like that. Still, his fingers explore her fur, in particular, investigating the bright red markings.]

I can't say I'm surprised. A lot of people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between dog and wolf because the only wolves they've seen are on television. Some breeds of dog are very wolf-like, but you can't ignore the difference when you look into their faces: you can see the ferocity of the wilderness in a wolf's eyes, and the warm embrace of domestication in a dog's.

[He speaks of them both with a tender fondness.]

Besides, you couldn't possibly make these marks with paint or dye. They're far too natural. [Yep, that's his assessment.]

[She seems a little concerned that her own people would forget such a thing, but doesn't make a sound.]

[Oh fine, but one more lick and she's back to laying over his lap.]

[Chuckling at the lick, and he's back to putting his hands in her fur, bowing down so he can actually feel the texture with his face.]

It's probably best that they think you're just a large dog, anyway. If they realized you were a wolf, they might become scared...in some cases, even violently so.

[She glances up, obviously confused at this, but then looks away. Humans certainly had changed.]

[Hm? Sasha lifts up his head. Did he say something wrong?]

...That's why I approached you with such caution just a moment ago.

[Oh... hrm, the relationship between humans and nature is much more fractured that she first believed.]

Amaterasu? [He chan at least sense the change in mood.] Is something wrong?
