Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Monday, August 30th.

I suppose this would be a nice spot for tea. Would you care to join me? [He smiles as he opens the basket and reaches in, pulling out a blanket to unfurl and spread over the grass.]

But it's a shame I can no longer understand the speech of animals here. [There's a small sigh as he takes a teapot out next and shakes some tea leaves from a tin into it before adding hot water from a thermos.]

[Don't mind if she does! She'll just step back and sit down once the blanket it spread with a grin.]

[He could understand animals? ... BREW you do this to her on purpose. Either way, she pulls out her communicator and its stylus.]

Don't concern yourself. I can still write.

[After putting the lid on the teapot to let it steep, he notices movement from her direction and glances over to see what she's doing. There's a suprised but delighted "Oh!" when the words appear on the screen.]

How wonderful! I've missed being able to communicate with animals. Other than Mr. Keroro, I haven't been able to understand them at all.

[He dips his head in a little bow.] I am known as Count D. And may I ask what your name is?

That's an unfortunate ability to lose. However, BREW has the need to make us equal in some respect in this world.

[Otherwise, things would be over and she'd be vaulting over buildings or making plants everywhere.]

I am Amaterasu.

I really don't see why it's made such changes. It's quite frustrating.

[D sighs and continues removing things from the basket, setting out a teacup and saucer in front of her. He's treating it much like tea time at the shop with his pets. But he pauses at the name.]

Amaterasu? Like the Japanese sun goddess?

Well, just like the last arrivals, you end up bringing in a demon who seeks only destruction wreaking havoc on a World we're supposed to be aiding.

[No, she was not annoyed about the incident. Tossing her head and snorting was just something she always did before lapping at some tea.]

Not 'like' the sun goddess.

[He raises an eyebrow a bit at that first part.]

Is that common?

[Not 'like'? But that was the romanization of the goddess's name... Unless...]

You are the sun goddess?

Good heavens no.

[She nodded.]

People have enough trouble pronouncing that much. I've taken to a few of these nicknames.

[Realizing his mistake, D quickly shifted onto his knees and bowed.]

My apologies. I did not expect to meet a deity in such a place and in the form of a wolf. [There were certainly divine beings who took the shape of animals back home but he'd never heard of Amaterasu taking on the form of a wolf before.]

Quite alright. No one else expected it either.

[She chortles, amused by it. Her paws tap] Now now, no need to bow. I'm about as divine as the next person currently.

[Well, she seems friendly enough and he's curious...]

Is this your true form? I had never heard stories of Amaterasu taking such a shape.

[And he should resume unpacking his basket. Would the sun goddess like an offering of fruit tarts?]

A form. I can't take any other form here.

[Why yes. She would love a fruit tart.]

I see. Is there another form you would have preferred?

[He sets one on a plate and places it next to her teacup before selecting a pastry for himself.]

Well, a form with hands would be nice.

[She takes a few more laps from the tea cup and a bite of the pastry. Delicious...]

You could also take a human form in your world? Much like my pets...

[And D agrees with that assessment after biting into a tea cake. It seems the recommendations he received weren't off.]
