Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Monday, August 30th.

[Bakura's not around anymore to cook for L, and Light can't always be bothered to. Therefore, L takes his meals where he can get them, and that means showing up to morning training even though he doesn't feel the need to hone and improve his combat skills. He and Light are having no problem gathering souls, even if they did get kind of a late start compared to a lot of other partnered pairs.

Rather than do the polite and decent thing and sampling small portions from many plates, he simply picks up the entire plate of powdered donuts, shamelessly retreating to a corner to hover over it like a vulture.]

[As has become normal, Kyoko can be found at the breakfast table early on in the morning, packing her plate with likely more than her fair share of the various foods offered. She doesn't retreat to an entirely secluded spot afterward, but she does appear to take up a less populated area to eat. Dare to interrupt her meal?]

[Ammy dares. The wolf always dares to get in a nudge or two around the breakfast table even after eating quite a bit on her own. She's seen Kyoko around. Never approached though so why not give a nudge... a cold nose bumping against her elbow that is.]

[The sudden cold wetness on her elbow is a easily a surprise - but not a bad one. Hey, it's her tour guide! She actually pauses from her endeavor of packing away the food on her plate to flash the wolf a bright grin. It seems as if she's in good spirits, today.]

[Well, well, someone was doing much better than on their initial tour! Her tail wagged and she woofed, grinning up at Kyoko. Good morning to her good morning!]

[Indeed she is! The grin doesn't fade as she reaches over to give the wolf a good scratching behind her ears.]

Are you hungry or something? [After all, why else would she be nosing around at breakfast like this? Kyoko wouldn't even mind sharing something off her plate, as she holds a lot of gratitude toward Amaterasu.]

[Her tail wags harder and remains doing so when Kyoko asks if she's hungry. She's always hungry. If the girl wouldn't mind giving her something tasty, she would repay the favor later.]

[Kyoko's got no problem sparing some food for someone who will appreciate it! She herself went with trying some of the more American dishes available today, so let's see here, what to share with a wolfy friend...

How about a couple of sausage links? That sounded pretty appropriate to her. She portions out a few and presents them to Amaterasu.]

[Her ears draw back at first and Ammy looks away. Any other animal would've definitely gobbled them up, but not her. Instead, it takes a few seconds before she manages to eat the offering.]

[Psii has gotten second nutrition plateau's worth of breakfast (mostly sweets, as usual), and notices girl who appears as enthusiastic about the food as he is.]

Am impressed that such a small human can eat so much.

[Well, this is different. It would be kind of hard to miss this particular guest in a crowd, so while he's not an unfamiliar sight to Kyoko, she's never made any effort to approach him. She pauses from the bite of food she was chewing on to give the alien a good look-over. It's not... too judgmental, at least. She's seen stranger things in her world, definitely, but that didn't absolve the oddness of his appearance.]

I don't like being hungry. [Talking with food in your mouth, Kyoko, honestly. wtf even are manners] Besides, it'll give me more energy for training.

[Psii is used to humans staring at him. Doesn't mind, if they're obviously only curious.

He's also rather given to talking with food in his mouth, though he tries to remember not to.]

Also require two servings of human breakfast before feel full. Suspect is because went so long in own universe with insufficient diet.

That gives us something in common, then. [What an offhanded way to state that, gosh. But she doesn't seem to think too deeply on the subject, instead opting to take a bite of one of the doughnuts she had on her plate.]

Was born a slave. [He isn't quite as nonchalant as she is, but is very matter-of-fact.] Then was CPU of spaceship for many, many human years.

Is human caste system based on money in your universe?

[ Free food is one of the best parts of morning training. Not that Josuke wouldn't stop by either way - let's face it, the guy is too determined to protect people to not at least give this kind of stuff his all - but the food makes it even more worth it.

It's why he's munching away happily today too, except he's so busy eating and already reaching out for the next sandwich that he doesn't notice he's grabbing it off someone else's plate. Whoops. Sorry there, person, might want to try and reclaim that... ]

[ Kaworu doesn't really mind when his sandwich is taken away, however he does look surprised. Blinking, he looks at Josuke, but he still smiles ]

You look quite hungry.

[ The sandwich is actually already half on its journey towards Josuke's mouth when he hears the voice.

It promptly makes him close his mouth again before he inserts the sandwich, glancing at Kaworu's plate. Then back to his sandwich. Then back to his plate.

.. Huh. ]

Well, I was just grabbin' some.. [ Yeah, it's slowly dawning on him. ] Is this yours?

[ Kaworu simply smiles wider ]

You can have it, I don't mind. [ he can easily make another for himself, after all ]

Wha-- no!

[ If it was one of his close friends then he might just have eaten it (sorry, Okuyasu in particular) but it's different when it's someone he doesn't know that well. Josuke's more polite than he looks, after all, so he puts the sandwich right back where he got it from, staring at his hands and wondering if he hasn't soiled it already.. whoops. ]

You eat it, it's yours!

[ Kaworu watches Josuke put the sandwich back, and he just smiles wide at that. Nope, not soiled, kaworu doesn't mind ]

I think it's good to see people enjoying themselves. Even if it's with food.

[ he will take a bite of his own sandwich now ]

[ .. Well, Kaworu's eating it now, so he probably didn't do anything too bad.. probably. He can't help but linger on it for another moment, but then he sighs, pulls a hand across his pompadour and lets it go for now. ]

Well, ain't that a pretty normal thing? I've never met someone who hated food. [ And he's already met a lot of really weird types, so he has a good idea of what's considered off the charts weird and what is still somewhat possible.. ]

[ the angel usually eats at the morning training, picking anything that doesn't have any form of meat or eggs. So basically, bread with jam, a glass of orange juice and fruits. Lots of fruits.

he does venture to look at the cakes, but only to make a mental note to search for a cake without eggs at the bakery ]
