Description: And then it gets worse.



By now, no one is popping in and out of existence, but that's hardly any consolation when odd things keep happening.

At first it's not that bad. An innocuous item or two shows up. Something harmless wanders around that you're sure has never been in Death City before.

By the second day, bigger and more dangerous things start showing up and by the third...

Well.

As long as you don't mind the giant pieces of debris or creatures blocking the road or the sky, it's not that bad, right?

[Well, she doesn't see Giroro around anyway. She's still doesn't completely believe him about the Kero-ball though and is grumpy that she's a glass rolling around on the ground.]

Hmph. Could you at least turn me upright?

[And he's all helpfulness and smiles again.]

Oh, of course, de arimasu!

[Hoverboard abandoned for now, Keroro trots on over. Maybe he should have thought about this more seriously, but he reaches out for the glass without any worries that because he's a Meister and she's a Weapon that they may resonate.]

[And even though she's not consciously trying to resonate with him, her soul instinctively tries to make a connection. He might sense her independent and confident nature, even if if might be wavering a bit since she's an inanimate object at the moment.]

[Keroro's whole life is making connections with people. He liked making friends. And in some ways, her soul kind of reminds him of Giroro's brother. Terrifying, of course, but more than that...dependable. This is why when she reaches out for him, his soul unconsciously reaches back.

His was a bright soul, carefree (maybe a bit too carefree) and unstoppably friendly. There's the definite feeling that he was going to do what he wanted, and even if anyone tried to stop him, he'd probably continue to do whatever he wanted.]

Wait a minute... What's going on?

[It feels kinda like resonance but didn't that Keronian creature claim to be a Weapon? He seems much too carefree, too.]

[The level of the scary-looking red liquid in the glass starts to rise as the link forms. It's hot and glowing. Does Keroro dare try it?]

[It's hot and glowing and rising...so Keroro chickens out and drops the glass on the ground.]

Hey! Why did you drop me!?

[Even if she didn't feel it much in this form, she still wasn't happy about it. And the glowing liquid was now spilling out into a sizzling puddle that scorched the grass.]

[Keroro stares at the blackening grass in horror.]

Of course it's because the stuff inside the glass was glowing, de arimasu! And rising!

Who would hold onto something so obviously dangerous, de arimasu?!

[pirateninja]

Someone who isn't a sissy, unlike you. I used to drink these things back home! [They didn't glow but still...]

[WAS HE JUST CALLED A SISSY?!]

I'll have you know that the food we had to eat was three thousand times scarier than some glowing juice, de arimasu! But it also looked edible, de arimasu! No one normal is going to drink that, de arimasu!

[Says the frog.]

[Yes, he was!]

What did you eat? Bugs? [These Keronians still kinda resemble frogs.] And I doubt they looked more edible to a normal person!

I don't eat bugs, de arimasu! What do you think I am, some kind of frog, de arimasu?!

[pirateninja]

You kinda look like one even if your friend insisted you were called Keronians. Anyway, I doubt your food could look edible if it's so much scarier.

[starfruitfrog]

That's what you think, de arimasu! That perfect caramelized topping, the sweetness of the space-cabbage, the tangy sauce, that eye that sees your every move and the teeth that attack without mercy, every part of it is perfect and edible, de arimasu!

[Keronians have an eat-or-be-eaten approach to their meals.]

The first three parts might not sound bad but something still alive and trying to bite you doesn't sound very edible.

Typical Pekoponian thinking, de arimasu. Everyone knows that food tastes better after you've battled and won the right to eat it, de arimasu!

[Or you bring someone else (Giroro) along to have them battle it for you while you sit by and reap the rewards.]

[pirateninja]

I like a good fight but I wouldn't want to eat what I defeat. I'm not a cannibal and pirates are foul-smelling, grog-guzzling scumbags.

No one's telling you to eat everything you defeat, de arimasu. That's just disgusting, de arimasu.

[pirateninja]

Well, you were the one saying food tastes better after you battle it!

[starfruitfrog]

But it does. That still doesn't mean you have to eat everyone you defeat in battle, de arimasu.

[pirateninja]

Whatever. Now, could you pick me up and not drop me this time?

[Because the glass is still rolling around on the ground.]

...Why, de arimasu?

[He wasn't going to pick up a glass full of liquid that looked like it could spill out onto his hand and had the ability to char grass....]

Because it's your fault I'm on the ground.

[And the red fluid is starting to bubble with her impatience.]

And what are you going to do about it if I don't pick you up, de arimasu?

[Slowly...backing away from that bubbling red liquid.]

Y-You're just a glass, de arimasu. You're...You're on an even lower order of drinkware than a teacup, de arimasu. [An order that he just made up.]
