Description: And then it gets worse.



By now, no one is popping in and out of existence, but that's hardly any consolation when odd things keep happening.

At first it's not that bad. An innocuous item or two shows up. Something harmless wanders around that you're sure has never been in Death City before.

By the second day, bigger and more dangerous things start showing up and by the third...

Well.

As long as you don't mind the giant pieces of debris or creatures blocking the road or the sky, it's not that bad, right?

Alucard -- July 17 -- Shibusen library and later training grounds -- Open

Library:

*Alucard reads a lot. He's mostly ignored TV so it's not a surprise to see him in the library. It might be a surprise to see a bat screeching around the the library stacks and Alucard trying to get it down.*

Training Grounds:

*With the bat familiar following obediently, Alucard is pleasantly surprised by this visitor from his world. He is not so thankful to see a giant 6 foot blade floating in the air and spinning itself in circles at anyone who comes near, yelling "SLICE!" and "FLESH!"*

Whoa! Where did this freaky thing come from!?

[Morgan is using her cutlass to try to fend off the flying sword and not having a very easy time of it with its giant size.]

[draculabackwards]

Oh dear God. *Alucard actually gave himself a forehead slap.* Unfortunately that giant floating sword belongs to me.

[pirateninja]

Then, would you call it off already?

[She backflips, trying to get away from it but the huge sword follows along.]

[draculabackwards]

*It seems like a stupid thing to do but it works: Alucard waits for the sword to stop its lazy but lethal swing and grabs it by the hilt.* That will be enough of that.

*The sword seems surprised* Oh, Master Alucard, I didn't realize you were here.

If that's your partner, you'd better keep them under control! [Since the sword talks and the only talking ones she has seen were Weapons.]

[Morgan doesn't appreciate that it tried to turn her into a boneless fillet!]

It's not my partner. This is a familiar from my own world, along with the bat. *The little bat gives a squeak on his shoulder*

A familiar? Talking swords are considered normal where you're from?

[draculabackwards]

No, they aren't. I happen to have a...bevy of unusual magical artifacts.

[pirateninja]

So, it's under some kind of voodoo spell? [Voodoo could do some freaky things where she came from so making a sword take on a life of its own didn't seem impossible.]

[draculabackwards]

No. It's just...how he is, unfortunately. I believe there was a group who made such things hundreds of years ago and these are just some of the artifacts.

[pirateninja]

Then there are more of these things flying around and trying to fillet people? [She enjoyed a good fight but preferred for them to be against actual swordsmen rather than animated weapons.]

[draculabackwards]

Fortunately this is the only flying sword I have found. If there are more, they are staying in my homeland.

Yeah, well, keep an eye on this crazy sword from now on if it's yours! And who should I be looking for if I find this thing on the loose again?

[draculabackwards]

That would be me. My name is Alucard, my lady. *he inclines his head toward her.*

Hmph. I'll remember that. [She's still a bit grouchy as she introduces herself.] Morgan LeFlay, Mighty Pirate Hunter ^[TM]!

So you work in a navy of some sort, hunting pirates?

[pirateninja]

No, I'm a mercenary that hunts down whatever targets my clients are paying for. And I work alone.

[draculabackwards]

I see. You did mention pirates so one wondered.

[pirateninja]

There's pirate scum causing problems all over the Caribbean so naturally most of my clients want them taken care of. It's my specialty.
