Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

Hey! Hey get back here!

[When it becomes clear his best chance at a weapon any time soon is walking away for real, he moves without thought. Which is kind of Hamel's default anyway. In two leaping steps he flings himself forward, reaching to wrap his arms around her waist in midair.]

Don't you go anywhere!!

Hey! Woah! [Aaaaand she topples forward from the force after being hit from behind by a Hamel sized homing missile and she is silent for a couple of seconds before she twists as much as she can and starts slapping him in the side of the head.] Get off of me!

[Suddenly she's hitting him in the head and he has to reach up with one hand just to keep the hat on. God damn bitches be trippin'!]

Stop that! HEY! KNOCK IT OFF BITCH! [And suddenly it looks more like he's trying to molest her in broad daylight to anyone who might be passing by although he's actually just trying to sit up and his hands are pretty much behaving which he thinks is a GRAND STRIDE TOWARD SELF CONTROL considering he wants to hit her back.]

You can't just go around tackling people! What was it about I was recently injured that you didn't understand? If I popped a stitch too early so help me... And don't curse in the presence of a lady!

[Did she cover everything.]

Well then stop running away! It's your own damn fault! [He's sitting up now across her legs just in case she starts running again.]

I'll talk however the hell I want!

It's your fault, I told you if you couldn't follow my instructions I was leaving.

You won't if you want me to try this with you. I'm going to be nicer than I ever have been in my life and give you one last chance if you get off of me this instant!

It's your fault for being dumb about changing! And taking too long!

[He huffs in exasperation torn between wanting to shake her and wanting to try her out. His teeth actually grind before he gets up and sticks a hand out to help her up. But no way in hell is he letting go of her hand. She ain't going NOWHERE. If she tries she's just going to get yanked back, possibly like a loving dance step. Which would be romantic if they were other people but would probably hurt because they were clearly both stubborn.]

Snap to it.

[God this guy is an idiot but she's probably just as idiotic as she actually takes his hand to help her stand and realizes he's not going to leg go when she tries to brush herself off and only one hand goes to do the job her brain sent two hands to do. She looks at him with a clearly annoyed expression and waits despite his order.]

[Hamel takes a second to look smug that he's got her now. And thus it takes him a little longer to realize she's just staring. He blinks and looks impatient.]

Come on, we don't have all day.

[It hasn't occurred to him yet that she STILL won't change while he's watching.]

Oh, I've got aaaallll day. [Lies.] Don't make me have to blindfold you.

Well I've gotta get to work sometime so change alread- [Is she serious?] You gotta be fucking kidding me.

FINE. But you better get your ass in gear this time.

[He huffs an annoyed sigh and shuts his eyes. He doesn't count this time.]

[The language thing is starting to piss her off but this bozo clearly couldn't take no for an answer. With any luck, their resonance would be awful and end up injuring him so she could get the hell away from him.

The second he closes his eyes she changes to her sword form so he doesn't even have a chance to peek]

'There, was it so hard to do that?'

[It's a good thing she's so fast because Hamel's bag of patience is microscopic. He opens them back up when he feels the shift and he turns the sword this way and that. It's a sword so that's pretty cool and it's got a curved blade which kind of looks badass. Too bad he doesn't know how to use it. He opens his mouth to agree with her.]

Not when you get your ass in gear. [He swings her a few times like a kid with a wooden sword. How do you practice when there's no one to practice against? How do you do that soul thingy that tingles again? Hamel stands there holding her wondering what he should do next. He hasn't had anyone except the gun to do this with before and that was just a test.]

[Nanami rolled her eyes unbeknownst to Hamel because well swords don't have eyes.]

'So have you tried resonating before with anyone?'

[the_great_hero]

[He could totally feel that.]

There was a guy who turned into this gun thing. It could shoot holes in the air. [Which was more badass than a sword but he's being nice because he wants a partner.]

[If only she cared... She doesn't know who Hamel is talking about and actually now that she thinks about it she doesn't really hang out with very many Weapons]

'Good then we aren't at square one at least. All right, I'm going to start.'

[Nanami isn't worried at all about plowing him over with her wavelength and she comes on pretty strong. He has such a loud personality his energy is probably on par with Takuto's]

[He doesn't get a chance to snipe back that you never have to start at square one with a Hero because he's totally awesome. She's already getting going so he clutches the grip and closes his eyes. He might be awesome but he's still getting the hang of this.]

[His wavelength meets hers and while he'd started out more like he had with Matt her's feels heavier, like it's going to swallow his up and he overcompensates making them come together like waves in the ocean. A discord that he can only sort of compensate for because of his musical training trying to shift it from discord.]

[And they are off to a rocky start. While it's not terrible the fight for dominance is clashing and that's actually mostly Nanami's fault as her intention was to overpower him like a slap in the face. She really wanted to see what bad resonance was like and but all she seemed to do was make herself feel pretty heavy to him.

She sighs a little and adjusts to his wave before gradually pulling back hoping he follows her lead so they can end the battle and get on with it at this point.]

[His hands drop and the tip of the scimitar cuts into soft dirt before he can recover and something weird tingles up his arms before she adusts and her wavelength recedes a little. There's a soft burst of extra pressure from him before it starts to back away in a decrescendo slowly lifting the sword back up. It's still kind of heavy.]

Jeeze you weigh a ton.

You better not be calling me fat. It's probably the resonance, good resonance makes a Weapon feel lighter to the Meister so I'm assuming this is what poor resonance feels like. Just find where you feel most comfortable, since I've had more practice I'll balance it out from there and we'll see how that goes I guess.

[the_great_hero]

[He grunts a little in annoyance at being lectured but focuses on not changing his resonance anymore.]

H... hurry it up. [He braces one foot out farther to give him more balance and wonders how the hell much she weighs right now if HE can't lift her.]

[She goes slowly because she doesn't like being bossed around by the likes of this guy]

No one else I've resonated with has had this problem.

What the hell? You're doing it on purpose!

Hrrgh!

[He heaves her up and tries a marginal adjustment since she's moving slowly.]

I don't know what you're talking about.

[She continues to move at a snails pace but they're close enough with his tiny jump that she still gets there sooner than anticipated. He's motivated, she'll give him that.]

Ahh.

That's better.

[He can get her off the ground now, just a little more comeon!! He's working now to try that again since it worked and she's moving slowly enough that he won't overcompensate at least. He does another adjustment.]
