Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

[The language thing is starting to piss her off but this bozo clearly couldn't take no for an answer. With any luck, their resonance would be awful and end up injuring him so she could get the hell away from him.

The second he closes his eyes she changes to her sword form so he doesn't even have a chance to peek]

'There, was it so hard to do that?'

[It's a good thing she's so fast because Hamel's bag of patience is microscopic. He opens them back up when he feels the shift and he turns the sword this way and that. It's a sword so that's pretty cool and it's got a curved blade which kind of looks badass. Too bad he doesn't know how to use it. He opens his mouth to agree with her.]

Not when you get your ass in gear. [He swings her a few times like a kid with a wooden sword. How do you practice when there's no one to practice against? How do you do that soul thingy that tingles again? Hamel stands there holding her wondering what he should do next. He hasn't had anyone except the gun to do this with before and that was just a test.]

[Nanami rolled her eyes unbeknownst to Hamel because well swords don't have eyes.]

'So have you tried resonating before with anyone?'

[the_great_hero]

[He could totally feel that.]

There was a guy who turned into this gun thing. It could shoot holes in the air. [Which was more badass than a sword but he's being nice because he wants a partner.]

[If only she cared... She doesn't know who Hamel is talking about and actually now that she thinks about it she doesn't really hang out with very many Weapons]

'Good then we aren't at square one at least. All right, I'm going to start.'

[Nanami isn't worried at all about plowing him over with her wavelength and she comes on pretty strong. He has such a loud personality his energy is probably on par with Takuto's]

[He doesn't get a chance to snipe back that you never have to start at square one with a Hero because he's totally awesome. She's already getting going so he clutches the grip and closes his eyes. He might be awesome but he's still getting the hang of this.]

[His wavelength meets hers and while he'd started out more like he had with Matt her's feels heavier, like it's going to swallow his up and he overcompensates making them come together like waves in the ocean. A discord that he can only sort of compensate for because of his musical training trying to shift it from discord.]

[And they are off to a rocky start. While it's not terrible the fight for dominance is clashing and that's actually mostly Nanami's fault as her intention was to overpower him like a slap in the face. She really wanted to see what bad resonance was like and but all she seemed to do was make herself feel pretty heavy to him.

She sighs a little and adjusts to his wave before gradually pulling back hoping he follows her lead so they can end the battle and get on with it at this point.]

[His hands drop and the tip of the scimitar cuts into soft dirt before he can recover and something weird tingles up his arms before she adusts and her wavelength recedes a little. There's a soft burst of extra pressure from him before it starts to back away in a decrescendo slowly lifting the sword back up. It's still kind of heavy.]

Jeeze you weigh a ton.

You better not be calling me fat. It's probably the resonance, good resonance makes a Weapon feel lighter to the Meister so I'm assuming this is what poor resonance feels like. Just find where you feel most comfortable, since I've had more practice I'll balance it out from there and we'll see how that goes I guess.

[the_great_hero]

[He grunts a little in annoyance at being lectured but focuses on not changing his resonance anymore.]

H... hurry it up. [He braces one foot out farther to give him more balance and wonders how the hell much she weighs right now if HE can't lift her.]

[She goes slowly because she doesn't like being bossed around by the likes of this guy]

No one else I've resonated with has had this problem.

What the hell? You're doing it on purpose!

Hrrgh!

[He heaves her up and tries a marginal adjustment since she's moving slowly.]

I don't know what you're talking about.

[She continues to move at a snails pace but they're close enough with his tiny jump that she still gets there sooner than anticipated. He's motivated, she'll give him that.]

Ahh.

That's better.

[He can get her off the ground now, just a little more comeon!! He's working now to try that again since it worked and she's moving slowly enough that he won't overcompensate at least. He does another adjustment.]

[He was catching on quickly which was probably a good thing for him but a little disappointing for her. It was really only a matter of time so she stopped teasing him and balanced everything as evenly as possible]


'All right, so do you know much about using swords?'

[the_great_hero]

I know a guy who's really good at them. [So obviously Hamel thinks he knows by association or osmosis or something]

[So he knew enough to get him in trouble. Awesome.]

'I guess we all have to start somewhere. Hold the hilt with both hands we can try a couple of downward swings'

[She attempts to use what she learned from Genesis a little while ago and imagines herself guiding his hands into the correct position. If Hamel is open to being moved by the Weapon he's holding this should at least help a little.]

[If her guidance works Hamel just think's it's because he's a total natural. He lifts the sword up and swings it down two handed. Like he might if he were bashing someone with his violin. Letting it drop off to the side next to his leg so he doesn't cut himself.]

Heh, not bad right? The guy I know uses two but sometimes he just uses the one.

[It was rough and choppy, she couldn't tell if she was able to lead him in the slightest. She felt like he was trying to hit someone with a blunt object rather than a sword. Maybe it just took more practice. But she has resigned herself for the moment and focused on the interesting tidbit he just dropped]


'Oh? A dual wielder? Does he use identical swords?'

[the_great_hero]

Uh... they look the same to me. [He's starting to feel more comfortable with her and so he swings her off to the side like he might flick his violin bow out when he flourishes it.]

I never really looked close.

[The movement this time was more graceful, she could tell that was something he did on a normal basis.]

Takuto is one of my usual Meisters, he's also a dual wielder used to identical swords. I myself sometimes us a dagger in tandem with a sword.

[Excuse him while he pretends to be a ninja.]

Yeah? Well, I prefer my music but I'll have to make due I guess.

[She refrains from asking him what the heck he's doing with her.]

[That's probably good it would only cause strife]

[She returns his snarky tone because music isn't a weapon and do you even brawl bro?]
