Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

[Karina was thinking of dropping by the Medics place later-- maybe to learn more about healing, too. But seeing Rosalia here now was a really pleasant surprise.]

Looking for a partner. I'm not really good at fighting, but my brother and I thought having partners would be important in emergencies.

Oh... so, you're a weapon?

[bloodinbloom]

Mhm! I'm a ribbon to be exact. Kinda best for hand-to-hand fighters, but I've practiced wrapping around other weapons. All I really need is brief contact with a Kishin egg to damage them.

[gonext]

That sounds really cool. Mm... well, I've used a gun back home, but I'm pretty alright with hand-to-hand. Maybe we can try working together?

[bloodinbloom]

Yeah! We can try!

[gonext]

Alright. Um... I'm really new to this Weapon-Meister thing, so... it'll be great if you could guide me a bit through it.

[bloodinbloom]

Hm? Oh, I can do that, but I don't know everything. Still, where should I start?

[gonext]

Um... I guess I should try wielding you. Sorry, [she laughs sheepishly.] it seemed simple enough in Professor Stein's notes, but I never really thought about how to actually practice this "resonance".

[bloodinbloom]

Professor Stein makes everything seem easy.

[Rosalia nodded] Yeah, it's definitely something you have to try to really get. Hold out your arm please... I think dominate arm would be best.

[gonext]

Alright.

[And Karina holds out her right arm.]

[Rosalia nods and reaches her hand out. She doesn't grab Karina, but she shifts, assuming her Weapon form and wrapping around the other girl's outstretched arm. She ties off in a bow once she's snug on Karina's forearm.]

[As Rosalia transforms, Karina couldn't help but be a bit shocked. It was practically like some kind of magic. It was way different from how she read it in Professor Stein's notes. Furthermore, she also felt a kind of connection, as if a part of her reached out to Rosalia.]

Whoa... this is really different...

[bloodinbloom]

[Karina seems like a comfortable soul to mingle with so Rosalia isn't as nervous trying to form a resonance.]

Can you hear me?

[Karina is surprised! It was like a telepathic connection. When she replies, she speaks aloud, though. She hasn't really explored this resonance thing yet.]

Yes, I can.

[bloodinbloom]

Great! You don't have to speak aloud though. Speaking through the resonance like this, we can get surprise attacks on our opponents.

[gonext]

[Karina decides to try it out, communicating through her thoughts.]

Like this...?

[bloodinbloom]

Yeah! Like that!

[She doesn't know if Karina can sense it yet, but Rosalia is beaming.]

[gonext]

[The more Karina focuses on that link between her and Rosalia, the more she could somehow sense her... were those... emotions?]

This feels really strange... but it's amazing. It's like I can sense you smiling at me.

[bloodinbloom]

It's a little strange at first, but this is resonance! You can sense bits and pieces about your partner and the better your partnership, the more you can uncover and the stronger you become. At least, that's how it's supposed to be. I know a pair have mastered Resonance Attacks for being so deeply connected.

I see... this is really fascinating. Alright... um... I guess I should try to see what I can do with you.

[ooc: Quick question! Does Rosalia have her sights on partnering with a particular someone yet?]

Sure. Are you a hand to hand fighter or do you use a weapon?

[OOC: Kinda have plans with Di, but we'll see considering electronic problems.]

Actually, I'm more handy with a gun, but I can manage hand-to-hand combat.

[OOC: Alright o/ Anyway, Karina's torn between working more with Rosalia or Matt, but I suppose since she's more handy with guns, she might try working with him first for the upcoming event O: ]

Okay. There are plenty of gun-kind Weapons and hand-to-hand Weapons.

[OOC: Sounds good. There's always temporary partnerships too.]
