Morning Training Log!

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 4th.

Yeah. I'm sorry I haven't spoken to you much before... Raidou-san? Did I get that right?

[Considering that he was with SEES and knew Naoto, Chika really should've done this introduction before now. Oops.]

[He nods.] It is quite alright. I have not been as active as I should.

[Agency work can be time-consuming.]

Now, you wished to spar?

[Chika nods.] Okay. We'll just need to make up for lost time then, I guess.

[She grips her practice sword.]

Yeah. I mean, I need to get better at using a sword, since my partner is one. Kinda, anyway. He's a bit different, but still, this is the closet way I have to learning how to use him without practicing while wielding him all the time.

[She moves to sink down into a fighting stance.]

Just... don't go easy on me. I'm not going to get much better if I'm not forced to give it my all.

Understood. Then I shall not hold back.

[Raidou takes a stance with his own practice sword. Depending on how good she is, this may end up being painful; he has years of experience behind him and doesn't believe in coddling trainees.]

Do you have previous battle experience?

[Chika nods.]

Yeah. I have some. It's mostly all been here though.

[Except for one time back home. But well... yeah.]

Mostly missions and whenever we get attacked by whatever decides to attack us though.

Very well. Let's have a match and see what you need to improve on.

[Hope you have good reflexes Chika, because Raidou is moving in!]

[Well, she's not dead yet, so she has to have some decent reflexes.

That said, her eyes widen just a bit when she sees Raidou moving in like that, though she's getting ready to block whatever strike he ends up doing.]

[Good, she can at least defend well. Raidou is going to push her harder to see how well she deals with quick, consecutive attacks.]

[Not as well as the first one, but she's managing somewhat decently. Though he's really damn fast, so it's really hard to block and she's not really finding any openings that she can use to actually attack back.

But she didn't want him to hold back, so she's going to keep blocking while keeping her eye on him, maybe try pushing his sword back with hers to see if she can knock him off balance.]
