Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 4th.

[Aranea is taking it easy today. With her nose still broken, she was distinctively trying to avoid anything that would get her blood flow up. Which sort of really made coming here a bit pointless, were it not for the opportunities to get out of the Ancestor's Den and see what everybody else was up to.

She also decided, a little later on, to see if transforming into her weapon form would be inadvisable. And while she found out that she could indeed transform into her pair of glasses without any pain, that one part on the bridge of the nose was bent oh-so-painfully. She decided to try to do it again, only to find that the painful bend moved to another place. Yet it was always there, and it always ALWAYS hurt to touch.]

[Keroro can never resist being nosy. Especially not when his target was transforming into a pair of glasses.

Slightly misshapen glasses?

Don't mind the shadow he's casting. He can't really be out in the sun without an umbrella.]

[For all of her talents, one of her most grievous weakness was her tendency to put all of her concentration on something she deems important enough. So the frog alien was quite able to sneak up on the unassuming pair of glasses, which bolted upright into the air.]

YAAAAH!!! [It yelped.]

K-KERO!

[Because he wasn't expecting her to suddenly scream like that!]

[If glasses can blink, then you are seeing it do it right now. Oh, right. She remembers this frog. She saw him on the network every now and then He's a member of Giroro's race.]

Oh sorry. You startled me. [A pause.] Oh my gosh, you're hearing me, aren't you??

Th-That's okay, de arimasu. You just surprised me that's all, de arimasu.

[It isn't good to scare a 10,000 year-old frog, Aranea. Never mind that he's fairly young for a Keronian.]

And of course, de arimasu? Am I not supposed to, de arimasu...?

[Don't ask how old she is, Keroro. Don't ask.]

Well, I'm not sure! I've never thought to try talking!!

I think it's only when you're resonating with a Partner and just talking with them that not everyone can hear what you're saying, de arimasu.

[Keroro decides to take a seat next to the glasses. It was kind of hurting his neck to be looking down all the time.]

I see! I think that goes to show that there is always something for me to learn. Are you a weapon too?

Yes! I turn into a Kero-ball, de arimasu.

It looks like a black ball covered with buttons, de arimasu.

[Showing her would probably be easier, but that doesn't occur to him at all.]

I see! So that would make you a Keron-nite? Keronian? Or is the Kero ball a description of the ball itself and not an indication of your species?

[Being the park's gardener, it wasn't unheard of for Lily to find keys or other lost objects when digging around. But it was strange to nearly stumble on a pair of glasses just sitting there.]

Huh. Did someone lose their glasses? [There was a Texas accent when she spoke and she looked around for whoever they might belong to. Maybe, she would have to take them to the Lost and Found...]

[Yiii!! This thought hadn't occurred to her. Of course people would think she was an object. Still, if her conversation with Keroro was any indication, people do not respond well to a screaming pair of glasses.

So instead she flips out her ear pieces and hops up into the air. The two lens turns to look at Lily and says softly and firmly.] No. Don't pick me up!

[Startled by the eyewear's sudden movement, Lily pulled her hand back.]

What in the Sam Hill?! Talking glasses? [Then, she remembered how Kiriha turned into an obi. And was that a reflection in the lenses?] Wait... Are you one of those Weapon people?

[If glasses can smile...] Yes, that's right. Hello!

[Maybe, it was just the way the light reflected off the lenses but Lily could have almost sworn the glasses were smiling.]

Um, hi. My name's Lily and I work here in the mornings as the gardener. [Even as a witch who ran a vintage clothes store, she never imagined herself talking to a pair of glasses!]

[Aranea mentally paced within her glasses. Of course people would assume that she was a lost pair if she was out here. The fact that the thought never occurred to her only made her feel a bit silly. Ah well, you know what they say about hindsight. Which is even more ironic considering her present state.]

Then it would certainly make sense that it would seem that I would be a bit discarded, doesn't it? I hope you don't mind, but I do not wish to be admitted to the lost and found. I rather prefer to remain found and kept, as myself.

[Lily chuckled at the quip.] It did look that way. You should practice with a friend around next time, I reckon. So no one carries you off or accidentally steps on you.

Nice to meet you, Aranea. [It was still strange saying that to a pair of glasses despite being sensitive to vibrations from clothes.]

[Aranea took the chance to return to her original form and stand upright, allowing Lily to see her real self.]

I suppose I could always do that. Though you may be right about being stepped on. I've already been injured enough for one week.

[Lily blinked as the glasses shapeshifted into a gray-skinned being with horns. She'd only seen one other troll so far so it was a bit unexpected.] You're one of those troll folks?

[And then the injury registered.] Your nose! What happened?!

[Being a bit of a technophobe whose communicator mainly resided in the back of a kitchen drawer, Lily was completely uninformed about the incident that had caused the broken nose.]

Yes, that's right.

[Her attention was brought back to her nose, and her first reaction was to cover it with her hand. She was still getting used to people staring at it.] Ah... I was attacked about three days ago. By a shopkeeper.

[She could go on, but her own personal injuries was not something she was particularly keen to elaborate on.]

I didn't realize there were others around. I'd only seen one before.

...Um, sorry. [She glanced away, slightly embarrassed to be caught staring. Still, her curiosity got the best of her.] But why the heck would they do such a thing?

[There might not be a handbook to being a shopkeeper but Lily was pretty sure 'Don't belt the customers' would have been a prominent rule if one existed!]

[She'd totally agree with that handbook.]

Oh, well, most of the trolls that are here at the present are rather reclusive. That is not necessarily a trait all of us share, but until BREW finds fit to bring more here, we may remain to be few and far between.

Ah...

...you know, while he believed I was stealing, I believe it may have been the madness effecting the citizenry somehow.
