Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. This training log happens January 30th.

Breakfast: Provided by the combined efforts of Cinderella, Katakura Kojuro, Saya Tagaki.
Batch 1: Beginners under the age of fifteen. Taught by Prussia, Fakir, Auron, Steve Rogers.
Batch 2: Adult beginners. Under Saber, Kaoru Kamiya, Lightning Farron, Maito Gai, Tifa Lockhart.
Batch 3: Intermediate fighters, for sparring with each other. Overseen by Hyuuga Neji and Ling Yao. Please see list of random sparrers.

Watch: An area closed off to the Watch members who need any sort of special training.

[Aaaand we are now moving directly out of Utena's comfort zone. If BREW had brought her in just a couple weeks earlier this would be a cinch, but after that last duel...]

[she hesitates for a moment, before she forces a smile. It would probably be a lot more convincing if not for that clenched fist]

It's kind of hard to say, really. I mean, it's not something I really think about.

It's also possible that your ability may manifest itself while you train, or when you are in danger.

[Especially if it was tied to her physical skills.]

[a short pause] ...so how did you discover yours?

[prosecutory]

My partner and I were washed into the desert by a flood, and we faced a group of kishin eggs for the first time.

When I spoke, I felt power in my words. My ability turned out to be Soul Talk - which is comparable to amplified persuasive speaking.

Whoa, you weren't kidding about the whole danger thing...

[let's out a low whistle and scratches the back of her head]

But what do you mean by persuasive speaking? Like...hypnosis or something like that?

[can't help but be a bit skeptical. Granted, she's seen a lot of weird stuff since she's been here, but these meister abilities are something else...]

I can convince others to do my bidding, or believe in what I say.

No way! I know there's a lot of weird stuff here, but- [shakes head] You mean you can make people do whatever you want, just by talking?

[prosecutory]

Not quite, Miss Tenjou. My ability can be resisted.

And how do they do that?

[prosecutory]

Sheer force of will, or if I don't put enough power into my words.

So it's not perfect, then. Still, it sounds kind of scary - if the wrong sort of guy had a power like that, who knows what he'd do with it.

Indeed. It's an ability that can easily be abused, as it works on anyone - or anything - that has a soul.

[for a moment she goes silent, and she glances away as she thinks over the implications of this]

And how do you use it, Mr. Edgeworth?

[His answer is quick, straight to the point.]

Distractions and diversions. I also had to use it on people while exploring its limits - but rest assured that they gave their full permission.

And did any of them regret it?

[Still mulling it over. This Edgeworth guy seems pretty trustworthy, but all the same...]
