Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. This training log happens January 30th.

Batch 1: Beginners under the age of fifteen. Taught by Prussia, Fakir, Auron, Steve Rogers.

Genesis.

[He walks toward the Weapon, rolling up the sleeves of his white shirt. The cravat and vest are notably absent.]

Edgeworth.

[He's noticed the lack of fancy wear today.]

Of course. [Hey, fancy wear is not sensible when you're training.]

Alright. Let's not waste any time.

[He holds his hand out, as if for a handshake.]

[prosecutory]

[And he takes that hand. Exactly like a handshake.]

[And voila! Genesis transforms into his Weapon form-- the grand Rapier. At six feet long, it seems difficult to handle.]

[prosecutory]

[Whoa boy, it's two inches longer than he's tall. He quickly grips the rapier with both hands, trying to adjust his stance; he is not quite used to handling swords THIS long.]

It gets lighter with resonance, not to worry.

[And Genesis' good mood seems to be taking effect, allowing Edgeworth a little bit of ease with the sword.]

With a more proper resonance, you might find me even lighter than a typical sword.

[prosecutory]

All right.

[He focuses on the sword, holds it out in front of him in a guard position, and begins channeling his wavelength into Genesis.]

[Although Genesis still felt apprehensive about resonance due to his recent loss, he allows himself to loosen up and enable a proper resonance between him and Edgeworth. True enough, the weapon had become lighter-- not light enough to be wielded effortlessly, but just enough to allow Edgeworth to at least be able to use him with one hand-- which should be the proper form for his type of weapon.]

[prosecutory]

[The resonance was good - going strong and pure compared to the times he had resonated with Phoenix's tainted soul. Feeling Genesis' form become lighter as they continued, the prosecutor tries to grip the rapier in one hand.

After making sure no one would get hit, he swings the rapier once with the slightest hesitance of a beginner.]

[ Unlike the usual arrangements of random weaponry around Tenten which relied solely on what type of weapon it was and how presentable it is, Tenten today arranged them slightly differently. All of the whip-like weapons were arranged so they'd be in front and around her at all times. The usual seas and mountains of steel and just about every other weapon you could possibly think of (up to and including a yo-yo) existed too but none of them existed were arranged to be close to Tenten. She didn't even focus on them, instead choosing to study the whip almost nonstop whenever she wasn't giving pointers.

Those who know her exceptionally well or are very observant may notice she's a tad distracted today. Instead of overseeing the weaponry users, sometimes she'll be focusing on the myriad of whips she has in front of her. Her tone doesn't contain its usual helpful zest when it comes to all of these weapons. In fact, if you were to inspect any she doesn't even greet you or talk to you until you talk to her. ]

[Everywhere he looks, there seem to be invisible weights hanging over people, making their steps slower, expressions uncertain, spirits dampened. Like the city itself is holding it's breath.

It's alarming the way Tenten's usual cheery fanaticism over her vast range weapons fails to show through. It leaves Neji himself uncertain, disliking the change and unknowing of it's cause- like whatever it is might be threatening. He doesn't miss the emphasis on whips stretched out before her, and breaks off from his division to approach her, decides to tread carefully]

...Tenten?

[ Tenten's spirit definitely isn't at its usual vigor. She uninterestedly looks around at her weapons, and picks up and examines the whip blankly, like a tired routine inspector. After a brief swing, she places it back on the table and sighs.

When Neji calls to her. She does her best to straighten up and keep a more cheerful tone. It wasn't often that Neji dropped by for weaponry training, especially since he lead other groups for morning training. Such a visit is a present and should be treated as such. ]

Oh, hey, Neji. I didn't expect for you to approach me. [ They normally talked before or after morning training. ] Drop by for weaponry training?

Not particularly. [It's not easy to say so outwardly, but he won't lie to her. His Weapon is a computer and his own talents lie more with taijutsu than anything. As well, he has his own division to get back to, so his personal breaks are few] Although I wouldn't mind practicing more with my tonfa at some point.

You seem distracted.

[ She wouldn't ask why he visited, she knew he was going to explain himself eventually. She thought it'd be a bit odd for him to visit solely for weaponry anyways. He never displayed the type of interest in learning most weapons for himself previously, after all. That and he can't leave the own people he's teaching unattended. ] I'd be delighted to practice with you.

Eh, I guess distracted is a good way to put it, in some regards. [ After working out all night thinking she's unfit to be a partner, one couldn't really say she doesn't have focus. It's just incredibly narrow right now. ]

Something's bothering you. [And with the whips lying around, he's more than just suspicious of the cause] Santana?

How'd you know?! [ Is he really that observant?! Or is she just that obvious?! She definitely is startled that he hit the nail on the head. ]

[Snort, Neji shakes his head, and gingerly lifts the ends of one whip between his fingers]

She obviously occupies some immediate part of your concentration even in your distraction, and given that she's your partner, it wasn't difficult to conclude. And whatever it is, it's bothering you. [Never underestimate the observation powers of a Hyuuga. He sets the weapon coil down and glances back to her]

Lain and I have been partners for some time now. If we can assist, let us know.

[weaponry]

[ She figures that him lifting the whip was a sign that he knew why she arranged her weapons this way. ] Did the whips tip you off at all?

[ She didn't know her interest in Santana was that visible today. ] Actually, I don't think there's much for Lain to do. [ She doesn't feel like Bold would actually give a damn, and Lain herself is too delicate and socially awkward to be subjected to something complex as this. ]

But, do you mind talking to me for a bit? There's a concern I have. It's about exactly what you think it is. [ She takes a sigh. In times like this, Neji might be a better help to Tenten than Gai-sensei if he's ever failed in Death City. The bond between them has always been closer than her bonds with other people from home. They were training buddies and partners. ]

[Neji glances back to his division briefly, just to make sure no one- Ling in particular- was causing trouble, then nods]

I'm not the only instructor assigned to them, so I have some leeway. [Not much, considering his lack of faith in Ling's teaching capability, but Tenten's priority rates considerably higher than those particular concerns]

What are you concerned about?

Don't worry. I can keep an eye on them from here. I can probably toss something towards them if one of them gets too unruly. [ She sighs at the possibility that she might have to do this. ]

Well, you remember about how I said I was going on a mission right? [ She's hesitant to admit she's failed, so she'll draw it out as long as possible. ]

[Neji smiles faintly, suspecting that she might actually follow through in that scenario. She tended to be awfully fond of her sharp, pointy objects, after all.

But the mention of her mission draws his focus back to the matter at hand] Of course. ..Did something happen?

[Either between her and Santana, or the mission itself, he didn't know. As far as he knew, neither of them returned critically injured, and Tenten seemed well enough, current mood aside]
