Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. This training log happens January 30th.

Breakfast: Provided by the combined efforts of Cinderella, Katakura Kojuro, Saya Tagaki.
Batch 1: Beginners under the age of fifteen. Taught by Prussia, Fakir, Auron, Steve Rogers.
Batch 2: Adult beginners. Under Saber, Kaoru Kamiya, Lightning Farron, Maito Gai, Tifa Lockhart.
Batch 3: Intermediate fighters, for sparring with each other. Overseen by Hyuuga Neji and Ling Yao. Please see list of random sparrers.

[Kaoru's easing herself into her own sword katas, guiding her students into each step of the style as seamlessly as she's done ever since she took up the shinai as a little girl. Kamiya Kasshin Ryu seems to be making some progress even here..

The teacher glances at her latest batch of students, offering a smile. ]
Great! Now start over from the beginning!

[Chrono's gotten into a routine of watching Kaoru's training sessions whenever he needs a break from the higher-level work. It's a little fun watching her teach--she always seems really into it.

He sips from a canteen of tap water he brought from home--there's no sense in using bottled water when there's water free from the tap!--and sits quietly, just enjoying watching everyone train and breathing in the crisp morning air.]

[Kaoru hasn't not noticed her routine visitor, and offers him a friendly smile. He might not notice her quietly moving to sit beside him, her cup of tea in her hands. ]

How are we looking today?

[Chrono gives her a shy little smile when she approaches.]

Ah, good! I think some of your students are starting to feel a little more confident.

I think so too. A swordsman must know the reason they picked up a sword in the first place. Once they have a reason to fight, then the moves will come on their own. With practice!

Mmm. Everyone has a reason to be alive. And everyone deserves to be alive. I think that every person on earth or wherever they came from has a purpose and whether they find it on their own or they have people in life to help them--they all have an 'answer'.

[He raises an eyebrow, then delays giving an answer by taking another swig of water from his bottle. That's actually something he's been thinking about a lot lately--the argument he had with Aion is still stinging. The idea that he was selfish, cruel, whiny for his actions...it hurt and made him angry and he wanted to deny it, but when Aion pointed out all the ways his mad rush to help Mary could end up hurting not only her or himself, but other people who might not have anything to do with them, and the way he talked about his injured siblings...

Aion was starting to get to him. He was starting to think that Aion was right all along. And that's scaring him a little.]

I'm not sure. What I've been told I'm "supposed" to do, and what I want to do, don't match up very well. At least...not back home.

You mean..the future, right?

Yeah. I mean, I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do here. I want to help win the war, so we can go back home. It's just...when I go back home...

[shihandai]

...When I go home, there might not be a future for me as sure as I thought. It's a possibility that I can't rule out no matter how optimistic I can be. [she offers a small smile]
I haven't shared that thought with anyone.
Which is why I think..we need to fight, to make a future we want. You know?

...You too? [He's surprised and a little comforted by that. It's easy to think that you're the only one that feels the way you do. ...But he still has more questions swirling around in his head.]

What if fighting for the future you want might hurt others?

..There's no way to say whether or not it will hurt someone. And hesitating will only make it harder to even succeed, right? As for me..if I don't fight..I'll definitely hurt others.

[If his information was correct this one is the one he has been looking for. Aion waits patiently until Kaoru has finished has chart with his brother and Chrono was safely away before he approaches her.

He thinks that it's quite interesting that this paerson should know both his Meister and his brother.]

Pardon me, Miss Kaoru? [His tone is gentle and mellow, sounding almost like Chrono's voice.]

[Kaoru's head shoots up, blinking once or twice before she glances at Aion. She notices the horns and whatnot, dismisses it, and offers a polite smile. ]

That's me. Can I help you?

[He waits patiently until she is done taking in his appearance before he returns the smile. He is good emulating his brother's reactions, but there is no way hiding that Aion is a lot more confident than Chrono.]

Yes and no. I'm Aion.

You teach Takuto Tsunashi, correct?

I do. Takuto is one of my pupils. And one of my closest friends. [she glances at him with a wry smile. ]

And I take it you're his Partner.

Since recently. I was going to reject his proposal but the boy has a thick skull and a strong punch when he thinks that you are being stupid. [He grimaces dramatically before slipping into a joking smile.]

I figured I should pay my visits to those he is close to, now that it's official. Meet the family, of sorts.

Oh he's definitely an idiot. A few whacks are necessary to get a word into that thing he calls a brain. [she snickers, before pausing]

Yes. The one you get by choice rather than circumstances. [He starts to flash her a boyish grin but it falters and turns into a mix of mild confusion and worry as he scrunches up his face.] That's how the saying goes, right? 'Friends are the family you choose for yourself.'

Haha, I understand. [She just laughs in response, glancing at his flustered expression before her own softens fondly. ]

Yes. I've made a lot of family this past year from making friends with them. Takuto is definitely..well, don't tell or he might get his ego up, but he's like a little brother to me.

Good. [He chuckles, relaxing a little.] I like human sayings but even my closest siblings have started teasing me about how often I tend to get them wrong. [There's a pout of righteous indignation, before his expression turns a bit more serious again.]

A little brother, huh? Yeah, they can grow on you. [He smiles.] To be honest, there's also another reason why I came.

Well I guess we have some good ones then, don't we? [she smiles a bit before she tilts her head and blinks at him]
