Morning Training happens every day in the city, and most days get handwaved. This training log happens January 30th.

FAQ: For any character confusion or questions. Answered enthusiastically by Maito Gai.
Breakfast: Provided by the combined efforts of Cinderella, Katakura Kojuro, Saya Tagaki.
Batch 1: Beginners under the age of fifteen. Taught by Prussia, Fakir, Auron, Steve Rogers.
Batch 2: Adult beginners. Under Saber, Kaoru Kamiya, Lightning Farron, Maito Gai, Tifa Lockhart.
Batch 3: Intermediate fighters, for sparring with each other. Overseen by Hyuuga Neji and Ling Yao. Please see list of random sparrers.

I would be pleased to pit my skill against your own - perhaps after we eat our morning meal. Take as much as you like, there is no shortage of food or rationing to be had.

Is such a thing normal here? The bounty of this land is truly so large?

In the time I have spent here in Death City, there is one thing I have always been capable of counting on - and that is a full stomach each morning. I do not claim understanding behind how it is possible to feed not only an army of this size but the other residents who call this area home... But I shall not question it.

The constancy of that and other things within this world are something that I have never seen the like of before. Lights that burn without end, endless rations, and indeed, water sourced without a well...

Perhaps I also should not question such things, and merely accept them as they are.

There are many fascinating miracles that are to be found here - you will experience many of them in due time. [And with that, Kiyomasa gestures to some hotcakes.]

Such as those. Give one a try with some of that- [Gesturing now to a container of syrup] sweet-tasting sauce on it.

[ The hotcake doesn't really look nearly as fascinating as lightbulbs, a stove or indoor plumbing but Yukimura is quite willing to take Kiyomasa's word for it. He serves himself some, drizzling the sauce quite liberally (hey, he said it was sweet!!). It's only then does he 'accidentally' let his finger dip into the aforementioned syrup to take a taste-- ]

The sweetness is overwhelming..!

[It's almost amusing watching Yukimura taste the syrup and in truth, the response does bring a smile to his face. This Yukimura's surprise and delight mirrors the sort of reaction Masanori would have, elicting a short laugh from the general.]

It truly is - but try it with that flat cake instead of by itself. The taste is something I cannot describe in words.

I shall trust in your judgement once more, Kato-dono.

[ it takes a bit of doing, but Yukimura manages to cut off a bite with the side of his fork to eat it - and yes. oh yes, it's good. ]

How is the taste?

It is quite good, Kato-dono! It is not quite like anything else that I have had the occasion to eat!

It is one of many small delicacies to be found here in the West. [He gestures Yukimura's attention towards the more Asian dishes - rice, grilled fish, soybeans, miso.]

But as intriguing at these foods can be, you should begin your day properly.

[ The west... oh is that where they are. Well, Yukimura isn't going to argue - what Kiyomasa says is true, after all - and he's forgoing talking for eating. His apologies! ]

[Y e p. Kiyomasa has found himself a replacement Masanori.]

There's... Rice by your mouth there, Sanada-dono. [He gestures for the young tiger to move away from the food table with him, moving towards one of the rows of seats and tables to sit with his own meal.]

[ shut up he's not nearly that bad. ]

Ah?

[ Yukimura idly wipes at his mouth as he follows Kiyomasa. He doesn't manage to wipe it off. ]

Is it..?

[Yes he is.]

...Close enough.

but if it's close enough Yukimura's just going to stop trying to wipe his face. good job, Kiyomasa. ]

[He's sure it will fall off as Yukimura eats. Maybe.

He leads the other man over to the tables, taking a seat with him to begin eating his breakfast.]
