Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Monday, August 30th.

[ he oofs softly, and nearly loses his balance with all that canine in his lap, but one hand behind him stops Sasuke from careening into the bed of flowers. he closes his eyes and his mouth purses. ]

You act just like a regular dog sometimes.

Wuf.

[Yes, she does, but it doesn't bother her. Nosing his leg for a moment, she lets her head settle and closes her eyes. Yes, this is a comfortable spot too.]

I always preferred cats.

[ it might sound callous, but Sasuke didn't care much.

but despite the words, his hand comes down into the thick fur at the back of her neck. Sasuke's gaze falls to his own hand as it moves, keenly aware of how far his fingers disappear into her thick, white coat.

Sasuke very rarely lays his hands on anyone without anger or violence between the gesture. ]

[She understands that. Cats are adorable.]

[Amaterasu doesn't think much, enjoying the feeling of his hand running through her fur. It's not as plush as it would be in winter, but its still pretty soft even after the romp in the dirt.]

[ it's soothing, and for that reason alone Sasuke keeps running his fingers through her fur. eventually, his gaze wanders back out to the training ground. ]

Will you leave when the war is over?

[ it's been on his mind, since Naruto and Sakura brought it up. ]

[Only cozy thoughts were drifting through her head. Still, her eyes open at this question.]

[She's able to nod just enough. There are things she needs to do back home.]

[ he scritchs his nails behind her ear after she nods, but says nothing further. he's not sure why he even asked— undoubtedly, plenty would be leaving once the war ended. ]

[It is curious why he's asked and it stops her from enjoying the ear scritches as much as she usually would. She turns her head and noses him for a second; second thoughts about what he will do once this ends?]

[ his palm settles on the scruff of her neck, in the thickets part of her fur. he watches her nose at him, and meets her eyes for a moment, before looking back up into the field. he finds himself seeking out Naruto before he can stop himself. ]

I've already made my decision to stay.

[motherofthesun]

[Amaterasu isn't going to judge. She seems fine with knowing what his decision is and she nods, laying her head back down. Though she is interested in knowing why, only he can decide to tell her or not.]

[ he doesn't seem to he feeling that open just yet, and he falls silent. he'll keep petting her for a while, though. ]

[That's fine. She'll give his fingers lick and make herself comfortable.]
