Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Monday, August 30th.

[Kaworu's been way too good at finding him in poor spirits at Morning Training. Considering it's nothing that's really current, and more lingering unease from previous events, he can at least act as if he isn't holding on to his own worries. As such, Kaworu gets a very gentle, somewhat tired looking smile from him.]

How have you been? [ he comes as close as possible without being too uncomfortable. He does notice that tired look, so it worries him OF COURSE BECAUSE SHINJI. ] You seem tired.

Ah, maybe a little. [Of course Kaworu would see right through him like that. He drops his front a little, looking more sheepish than before.] Things have been really hectic for everyone lately, though. [Then, to try and turn it around a little,] Have you been doing all right?

[ kaworu can agree. Raids to the city and attacks to come, the angel knows this place is not as safe as it looks. If he had zero tact if he was manga kaworu he'd ask Shinji if it didn't remind him of Tokyo-3. But he does have some tact, so he doesn't ask. He already knows. ]

I'm alright. [ he is far more worried about Shinji, right now ]

Are you worried, about the city and what is to come?

It's not unlikely for things to get worse than they've been. [Oops, that was really, really pessimistic, wasn't it? He sighs a little, the tone hadn't been on purpose, it's more of an observation based on what he remembers happening back home. Things going from bad to worse wasn't uncommon, after all.]

I really hope they don't, though. I hate thinking of everyone being in even more danger than in that last raid.

This world is at war and it needs out help. Though no one wishes for others to get hurt and everyone hopes for peace, such may not happen just yet.

But even so, we all can help make things safer, not so hard. As long you don't carry that weight by yourself, Shinji-kun, perhaps it's not as hopeless as it may look. [ he smiles softly, hand reaching for Shinji's, to gently hold it ]

I understand that. [There's something similar to a resigned sigh to his tone, but he'll gladly accept Kaworu's gesture and find a sense of comfort in getting to hold the other's hand.]

Sometimes I wonder if anything I can do for this place is enough to help at all, though. [He gives Kaworu's hand a very gentle squeeze.] It's exhausting.

well, do you think there is more for you to do? [ the angel understands, but at the same time, one must understand that the world around them can't be bent to everyone's will. Wanting it to be so is exhausting, yes, but to accept how reality around you is will help one to feel less despair ]
