Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on Monday, August 30th.

[Lily shakes her head.] It's true. People didn't accept me and I never did have friends growing up other than my grandmother. [Because of her powers...]

It's a bit hard to explain. [Well, without admitting that she was a witch...] I guess you could say I was strange and folks were scared.

Hm... That's silly of them.

[She accepts that answer.] You do act a little weird sometimes, but nothing super weird. [She's seen kids acting weirder definitely.]

I reckon it was. [But not really. She'd accidentally sickened people before too and like Rosalia's case, some hadn't survived...]

How? Well... you just get really jumpy sometimes. That's all.

I do? [And she's fidgeting a bit now.] Um, I guess it's just how the city gets invaded so much. Makes a person nervous when demons can pop up at any time.

I guess I have. It's getting close to eight months.

And are you feeling better now?

Oh wow. [And it felt like a while to her. Lily's... wow.]

I am. Still, I'll probably continue classes tomorrow instead of trying to get something together before training's over today.

I've heard some folks have been around for a whole year though and I don't really envy them.

And that sounds like a good idea. Have things at least settled down at the clinic? [She assumed they had since Lezard hadn't been in a rush to return after their mission the other day.]

That's a really long time to be away from their friends. Well, I bet they'll be able to go home soon.

Yes. Things are getting better. We'll remove the quarantine from the north wing soon.

You think the war will actually end soon? It doesn't seem like things are much better considering all those clowns lately and that last attack on the city.

[Nodding.] Does that mean the folks still in the clinic will be able to leave before long?

I don't know, but... I wanna try remaining positive again. Remaining as I have for the past few days... it's kinda hard to do anything.

Mhm! They'll be able to leave in a few more days.

[Well, that's a good point. It's probably better for her to try to think positively.]

Are you still helping cook breakfast with Kanji? We got to talking about that and I gave him some recipes for grits a while back.

I am. Oh, you gave him the recipes? [They went sorta Danish today, but he showed her the new recipes.]

[A nod.] Yes, they were popular back in Texas and there's plenty of different ways to cook them. But you don't see them as often outside of the south.

That's true. I'm sure we can prepare them. They won't be like home exactly, but we'll do our best.

I'm sure they'll be fine. Kanji was telling me he had grits once after a mission and liked them. So, I hope the other folks here will enjoy them too.

Well, if they don't for some reason, there will always be other options at breakfast to eat.
