EVENT: The Great BREW Malfunction Pt II [OPEN]

Characters: Everyone and anyone
Location: Anywhere in Death City!
Rating: PG-13
Time: July 16 to July 18th
Description: And then it gets worse.

By now, no one is popping in and out of existence, but that's hardly any consolation when odd things keep happening.

At first it's not that bad. An innocuous item or two shows up. Something harmless wanders around that you're sure has never been in Death City before.

By the second day, bigger and more dangerous things start showing up and by the third...

Well.

As long as you don't mind the giant pieces of debris or creatures blocking the road or the sky, it's not that bad, right?

((OOC: List of canon items and creatures arriving can be found here. Remember, the list only tells you where they initially show up. They'll probably move on soon enough to a new location.

Remember to put Character | Location | OPEN/CLOSED in your subject!))

[With cash being the main form of payment at Yesterday's Magic, visiting the bank to make deposits was pretty routine for Lily. What wasn't quite so routine was finding Eve crouched outside, next to a strange looking pot. Plus, the pointing and beeping hand.]

Hi, Eve. What are you doing? And where did that strange hand come from? [How the heck was it just floating there?]

[Eve looked up, two Battaku cards in her hand.]

Hello.

[She tilted her head a little more and, ah. There was that hand again.]

There are cards in this pot...the hand was pointing at it earlier. I don't know where either of them came from, though.

Cards in the pot? What kind of cards are those anyway? [Definitely not regular playing cards from the pictures on them. She peered into the pot but the inside seemed impossibly dark, as if it was an abyss rather than a container just a foot tall.]

I certainly don't remember seeing it when I came by yesterday.

Battaku Cards. We sell them in Metokkori R.

[She added the second part helpfully as if it would help this all make sense. She tilted her head at Lily then stared back at the pot.]

Maybe someone left it here earlier?

Is that some kind of Japanese game? [She assumed so if she and Keroro sold them in their shop...]

[And she turned back to the pot]

Strange place to randomly leave a pot... But maybe whoever it belonged to didn't want it anymore. It's ugly as homemade soap!

Keroro invented it.

[Does that make it a Keronian game then?]

...how ugly is homemade soap?

He invented a card game? [Huh. That was the first she'd heard of it!] What's it about?

Oh, that's just an expression they used to use back in Texas. I guess some homemade soap can be really ugly but you can find some pretty nice ones these days.

[She nods.] You have monsters, magic and trap cards and you attack each other using them.

I see. How strange.

So, it's sort of like a fantasy-themed game? It doesn't sound like any card game I'm familiar with.

[Not having friends to play with growing up, she hadn't even heard of the Magic card game!]
