Description: A frog goes out to buy lunch, and ends up meeting a princess.





[Today finds Keroro at a Deathbucks near his stores, purchasing croissants to make sandwiches out of. Lunch was one of the most important meals of the day, after all.]

Please give me two dozen croissants, de arimasu!

[That was probably more than they needed, but he was certain the extra could be made into limited edition sandwiches for the lunch rush later on. He watches as the croissants are carefully put into a bag with tongs, the person working behind the counter making sure not to accidentally crush the flaky bread.]

[It has already been a long day for Nanami, morning training, getting her stitches taken out and then shopping for shoes since she lost so many pairs chucking them at rioters the other day from her balcony at Fatality Condominiums. She has her back to the counter as she sits with her bags at a table waiting for her order]

Nanami, For here, Quad Venti Skinny Caramel Iced Coffee Latte.

[She stands and approaches the counter. It takes her a minute because he's so short but when she finally sees Keroro, she freezes in place.]

[Keroro probably wouldn't have noticed she had frozen in place. Except for the fact that she was standing in his way when he was trying to leave with the croissants.]

Excuse me, de arimasu.

[Her lip twitches uncomfortable when he speaks. She knew before hand that he spoke, she's seen him on the network but unlike the network she can't just turn off reality. The barista held her cup out to her and repeated the order.]

Nanami? For here, Quad Venti Skinny Caramel Iced Coffee Latte.

[Her brain is still trying to process the situation but she's managed to scoot herself far enough out of the way while her eyes stay locked on him, you know, just in case.]

[And Keroro is about to walk away....when her name finally registers. Then he looks up and recognizes her.]

...Nanami Kiryuu-dono?

[morecowbell]

[In a heartbeat she's backed up against the counter with a horrified expression and there might have been a high pitched squeak in there somewhere.]


H...how do you know my name?

[.....Was she okay? Why is she making an expression like that.......?

More importantly: Should he be prepared to duck?]

I was talking to the evil spirit about you, de arimasu. You know...the one who was asking for princesses a while back, de arimasu...?

[morecowbell]

Evil sp--- [She stops for a second putting two and two together]

You mean Bakura?

[And the barista cuts in again]

Miss, your order?

[To which she turns slightly and snaps before grabbing her latte]

Can you not see that I'm busy here with this... talking... frog thing?

Yes. That guy, de arimasu.

[At least he hoped it was the same guy. He didn't know that the two of them shared a name though. Or was it because this guy was an evil spirit haunting Bakura?]

And I'm not a frog thing. I'm an alien, de arimasu.

[morecowbell]

[The barrista just slinks away. And she nearly squeezes her drink all over herself when she hears the "a word"]

Wha...what did you just say you're an alien?

...Yes?

[morecowbell]

[And suddenly she feels weak in the knees and not the good kind of weak in the knees. And to the floor she drops looking quite distressed or like maybe she has the vapors]

Please don't abduct me. I'm too young and pretty to be abducted, there's still things I want to do with my life. I haven't gone sky diving, broken any rules or taken a vacation in Bora Bora yet. I also have a large package arriving at my condo that I need to sign for next week.

You know, I'm really not good probing material, here, here you can take that guy! [she points back at the barista] Look at him all complacent in this dead end job. He'd probably be okay with it if you threw him a bone every now and then.

[And with that, Nanami wasn't welcomed in that establishment anymore]

What do you want from meeee?!

[....And now Keroro isn't sure if he's going to be welcome at this establishment either. Maybe he could steal Kanji from Lily or ask Bakura to come bake their croissants from now on...]

But...I really don't do that kind of thing, de arimasu. Alien abduction is just an urban legend, de arimasu.

[Unless we're talking about aliens being abducted by humans because Keroro is convinced that happens.]

[She probably wouldn't even feel the least bit guilty because... alien]

I bet that's what all the aliens say.

P...poacher? What do they look like? Are there any here?

Well...I guess they look suspicious, de arimasu? But all kinds of aliens can become poachers or traffickers, so there really isn't an actual look, de arimasu.

I can promise you though, that I'm not one of them, de arimasu. So calm down and stop sitting on the floor, de arimasu. It's okay, de arimasu.

[Keroro takes a step forward to help her up (although how he intends to do that as a two foot tall frog is a mystery).]

[There's a decided frown on her face when she finds out you can't tell which aliens is are poachers. And he looked plenty suspicious to her being a small green alien frog with a hat.

She instinctively jerks back when he steps forward] N..no... I got this. [Besides, he's two feet tall, she's got a good three feet, three inches on him plus her heals. She brushes herself off with her free hand.

Um, why were you two talking about me? [She has not put two and two together yet with the princess stuff.]

[Just look for the aliens grinning at you veeeeery suspiciously. That's generally a pretty good indication that they're up to no good.

If she says she's got this, he isn't going to interfere.]

Because we've decided to select you and Katsuragi Yako-dono as our princesses, de arimasu.

Oh. Huh? You're helping out with that?

[She's starting to rethink this whole princess business]

I'm the one paying for and marketing it, de arimasu.

[The alien frog is paying for and marketing the event. There was so much wrong with this she doesn't know where to start]

Oh, is that so? It seems this even will be bigger than I expected.

[starfruitfrog]

[Take it up with the evil Bakura, Nanami.]

Of course, de arimasu. No sense having a tiny event, de arimasu.

[That's a good idea, frog, she may just do that]

Go big or go home, huh? Well, I suppose I prefer it that way.
