Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

Oh. So that is your pet crow. *Alucard peers over at it*

[Naoto looks up and nods. Poe has stopped to stare back at Alucard]

Yes. This would be Poe.

*Alucard canted his head toward the bird.* I used to have a summoning creature, a bat that would do my bidding when asked. I could understand them well enough, but I suspect that would not be the case if I attempted to adopt a bat here.

No, it would be vastly different. I doubt you have to consider vaccinations with a summoned creature.

*Alucard blinked and looked confused* What are...vaccinations?

They're shots to prevent or reduce the chances of getting certain diseases.

Ah. I suppose that would be an issue for humans and animals alike. *Alucard gets a pass on that department.*

Not to mention training a wild animal.

Indeed. Though, he doesn't have to stay and be subjected to vet visits.

[She looks at Poe, but he doesn't seem to care, eyes closed as his head turns.]

Oh? You let him come and go as he pleases? *Alucard crouches down to get a better look at the bird.*

I do. It's not as though I raised him and he's capable of making his own decisions.

[Poe turns towards Alucard and opens his eyes, staring.]

I have known crows to be quite intelligent. *Alucard offers a wrist if the bird is so inclined to hop up.*

They are. From the minimal material I've researched before coming to care for Poe, there's still plenty more to uncover.

[She watches Poe as he stares at Alucard, almost going to peck, but deciding to hop onto his arm.]

*Alucard holds his arm steady as the crow hops on.*

He is not attracted to long hair, is he? *So he can be prepared for hair tugging.*

[Poe hops closer, turning his head this way and that, eyes looking around]

Not that I'm aware of.

Or bright objects? *Because again, his hair would qualify. However, the crow appears to be behaving himself admirably. So far.*

The only bright object he's chased was a Faberge egg and that was on mission basis.

[Don't show nerves, Alucard. Poe was moving closer to his shoulder.]

You had to fight a Faberge egg for a mission? *That must have been odd. Alucard steels himself as the bird makes its way up his arm.*

Not like that. A Kishin egg was using a Faberge egg as a lure.

[Poe still isn't doing anything, but he's very close. Naoto has to wonder what the bird's doing.]

That's an unusual tactic. Ah, detective, what is your crow contemplating? *Alucard can't quite turn his head to look.*

Not strange really...

[Watching Poe] I'm unsure at the-- [The flap of wings stop her and she watches as Poe perches on Alucard's head, turning this way and that. It... it can't be comfortable like that for Alucard.]

*Alucard narrows its eyes at Naoto.*

I suspect your crow just wanted to find the highest perch around.

That's... possible. Still, if he wanted the highest perch, the tree would be higher.

[Poe leans over so he's in Alucard's face, turning his head.]

*Alucard blinks back with his yellow eyes and he slowly smiles.*

I see he has a sense of humor.

He does sometimes. Other times, he can be invasive.

[Poe stares for a moment longer, but then pecks Alucard in the middle of his forehead.] Poe...

Ahhh! *That makes Alucard flinch, enough to possible dislodge the bird from atop his head.*

Apparently he didn't like me talking about him.
