Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

Huh? Oh... as an instructor, I'm sure you know your limits, it's really none of my business whether or not you should be in the clinic. Hopefully you're not the type to overdo it and make others worry.

[That might have come out a little bluntly...]

[At that blunt statement, Genesis couldn't help but laugh, although his injury had stifled what could have been a full-bodied kind of laughter.]

That's no problem. It's not my business to make others worried. I can take care of myself well enough.

Anyway, so what are you here for?

Oh, uh... [why was it so hard to ask for help? Just do it dang it.]

I have this friend... okay.. no, it's me. I.. I just need to know if there's more I can do to contribute to a partnership as a Weapon.

[recitings]

[Genesis cracks a little smile at that. It almost sounds as if it was a question meant for Cupid's radio show.]

Well, it mainly depends on what your Meister can do and what you yourself can do as a person. For example, for the longest time, I had to help guide my Meister's movements when he handled me as he had little combat training. But at the same time, I also had to support him whenever he needed to use his Meister ability at its fullest.

It's all a matter of supplementing your partner's weaknesses and magnifying their strengths. That's how I see the role of a Weapon. You might not be able to be the one controlling the battle, but you can turn the tide if you know how to help your partner.

[Nanami wonders if she somehow said something funny and is feeling a little self conscious now but she earnestly listens to his wisdom.

She isn't really sure what Bakura's Meister Ability is and Takuto doesn't know how to use his so currently that is off the table so she files it away in the back of her mind. The last part is vague and differs from person to person so she understands she'll have to figure that one out on her own. Back to the first bit.]

About guiding your Meister's movements, how does one go about doing so exactly?

[recitings]

Hm. That's a difficult thing for me to answer. Honestly, the best way for me to show you is through demonstration.

[He gives this a little thought.]

How well do you resonate with different people?

[morecowbell]

I've resonated with quite a few people with no problems, some better than others of course... oh, I'm also the Weapon in Professor Stein's Soul Menace class.

[recitings]

Alright. Well, this might be strange, but let me handle you.

[He holds out his hand, an invitation for her to change into her weapon form for him.]

[Well, it wasn't the first time she's tried to resonate with another weapon.]

Okay. [and she reaches for his hand but] um... would you mind not watching? [You'd think that after 3 months she'd be used to this]

[recitings]

Well... alright.

[Strange request, but he honors it, anyway.]

[She goes ahead and takes his hand and changes to her scimitar form while he is not watching]

[recitings]

Now, can I look?

[morecowbell]

Yes, I'm all set.

[recitings]

Alright.

[He relaxes his stance and takes a deep breath.]

I want you to reach out to my soul and teach me how to use you through resonance. It's not about puppetry, but more of being in sync enough to tell your Meister how to wield you better.

[morecowbell]

[She evens her breathing and focuses carefully sending out a strong, determined and curious wavelength. It's naive, she has yet to have a bad resonance and doesn't really consider the ramifications of that possibility.]

[recitings]

[Well, thankfully, Genesis is easy to resonate with. He used to be a very difficult weapon, but he's grown to be more tolerant of the various people who could partner with him. Soon, Nanami might feel a fiery soul come into contact with hers. It's surprisingly warm and welcoming.]

Go right ahead. Try to guide me.

[morecowbell]

'Um... okay.'

[Nanami feels for Genesis and adjusts to where the balance feels the most comfortable, something she's quite used to doing with the variations in people she normally works with. Okay... so after a little bit of a pause she's feeling a little lost and he can probably tell by now.]

'Do you have any tips to get me started in the right direction?'

[recitings]

Well, imagine yourself in charge of my training. Then imagine yourself holding my arms to show me the right stance.

[morecowbell]

'Oh... kind of like image training. All right, I'll give it a shot'

[She can try a kata but perhaps just starting off with a standard movement like a downward swing will do it. She closes her eyes and feels out how he is standing, the right foot needs to slide a little forward and she imagines herself slowly pushing it forward with her own foot, then he needs to grip the hilt with both hands choking higher up with his right hand.]

[Genesis feels the way Nanami's soul is guiding him and he follows. That simple act of cooperation allows her to move him properly and put him into the right stance.]

Good... you're doing very good.

[This sure would have come in handy when Takuto was trying to dual wield her and Shinji a while back.

His words are encouraging and Nanami continues to slowly direct him through the downward swing coupled with the sliding footwork and finally followed by the act of sheathing the sword for the finish]

[It's really a very handy technique, Genesis believes. He learned it when he was partnered with Vergil, and he had used it extensively to train both Carmine and Edgeworth-- more for Edgeworth, of course. He was the one who wasn't a natural at the art.

Anyway, he continues to follow Nanami's direction, moving his entire body to the guidance of her soul.]

Wonderful. You've done well.

[There's a large burst of positive energy from her as her confidence returns with the completed movement and praise from him]

That's incredible. This is really going to come in handy with a couple of my partners.

[On the other hand, one of her partners might not be as open to this technique and she'd need to find a way to use it without stepping on his toes.]

Do you mind if I change back? [In other words she needed him to not watch again]

Go right ahead.

[Remembering her earlier request, Genesis politely turns his head away from the Weapon.]

[Nanami does so and once she's touched ground she faces him looking more confident than when she first approached him]

I know you said this technique is not about puppetry but could it still be used that way in an emergency situation?
