Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

Alright! I shall grab something from that Chinese place we like! Or perhaps we should get GraveWay sandwiches? They have something that is called Spicy and Italian that is really good!

[Neji hums a short moment, deliberating between the two in probably the least taxing decision he'd make all day]

I'm rather fond of the Chinese, but sandwiches might be good for a change.

[Lee beams.] Chinese is very good! But I agree! A change is good! Do you have a preferred sandwich or would you like to just split one with me?

[He shrugs]

So long as it's not spicy, I don't mind. Just get me something you think I'll like. Get whatever you want for yourself, however.

[Ah, well, that meant no sharing. But Lee nodded.]

Alright then! Now, I suppose I will get back to the rest of the Brigade.

[Neji hesitates, then makes up his mind]

Before that, I need your opinion on something, Lee.

[awokentospring]

[Lee had been turning when Neji began speaking so he stopped in profile to his rival and looked back.]

Hmm? What is it, Neji?

[heavenly_earth]

I need to pick out a handful or so of people to handle interrogations.. However, Shibusen has stringent guidelines, and we don't need people that will get carried away or completely disregard them.

With an incomplete understanding of everyone's background, it's difficult, but I can't just look to recruit people for such sensitive work.

[As Neji talked Lee moved to face him straight on. What they were discussing was rather important, after all.]

Hn, I suppose you are right about that. Did you have anyone in mind, or were you wanting an opinion concerning appointments for the task?

I'd appreciate your opinion on appointments, or at least how I might attempt to sort out those I should query after. It's been half the struggle, in truth. Those I know that have experience and would be effective are also those I suspect would swiftly take it too far in Shibusen's eyes. Reasonable, but capable individuals..

You know you can ask me anything, Neji. [Lee smiled softly, feeling quite happy to know that his rival would ask for his opinion on the matter.]

I will do my best to support and assist you in this, to the utmost extent of my abilities.

[He smiles a little, happy at least, to know he has a real friend and true confidant in Lee even if he was a bit overzealous sometimes]

Mello.. You've worked under him for a time now, patrolling alongside Nanami-san. He was a leader of a mafia group and would likely be effective, but as for his restraint..

Hmmm... [Lee tilts his head, pursing his lips in concentration.]

Mello-san may be up for the task, but I can understand your hesitancy. He could perhaps go too far, especially if he is used to being hard on discipline in his group, but...

[Lee crossed his arms, taking a bit longer to consider.]

I suppose it comes down to whether or not he is amenable to following orders. If he can do what he is told and stay within set boundaries, there will be no problems. But if you have ever noticed he has attempted to undermine authority then it would be best to find a different interrogator, in my opinion.

[That makes sense enough, and Neji hums, spending a few moments in a silent review of what he recalls of Mello's reaction to orders]

Well he wouldn't be a Zone Leader if I didn't trust him and he's given me no real reason to assume otherwise. I'll ask him, I suppose.

[Lee nods, giving Neji a small smile.]

If you are still hesitant, perhaps giving him a extra "muscle" to stand beside him would help? Auron-san can be intimidating but seems like a sensible person. Perhaps him or another of the same temperament could be present at the time of the interrogations.

[Two birds with one stone, in Lee's opinion. To make sure the interrogator stayed in line as well as to add some more intimidation factor.]

[Neji considers that idea and who else might be suited to it, but it is sound]

That would be ideal. I'll be taking responsibility for those individuals, after all. Auron would acertain Mello wouldn't go overboard..

[He looks more at ease about the prospect] I will likely do that. Thank you, Lee.

[Lee beams, glad he was able to give his partner sound advice. And touched that Neji would consider him in his decision-making.]

You are welcome, Neji. [Lee's voice is soft, and there's a warm look in his eyes before his grin takes over again.]

Any time you feel in need of advice, do please ask and I will always do my best to assist, my dearest rival and Meister!

[He nods, the set of his shoulders relaxing. The entire situation had left him uncertain, but now he had a plan of sorts.

And he can't help his faint smile in return, grateful for the presence and consideration of his teammate and best friend. Although usually rather emotional, Lee still had a good amount of shinobi sense]

I truly appreciate it, Lee.

Then I suppose I will see you at lunch.

[Lee hesitates, almost looking like he wants to say something, but instead he just released a soft puff of air and offers a wave.]
