Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on June 4th.

[It's only after he sees her that he realizes he hasn't seen her around much. And she looks way too prim and proper seated where she is for him not to go bother her just a little.]

Hey, Nanami~chan? How's it going? [And he plops onto the bench next to her with a grin.]

bro-- I mean Takuto, 'sup?

[It's unusual for her to not notice Takuto until he is practically right next to her]

Oh, hello. Well enough I suppose what with the riots and other... things. [like failed missions and hospital visits] What have you been up to?

[tauborn]

[He breathes a small sigh of relief at Nanami's question. It seems that apparently she either hadn't seen the Sai's accusatory network post or she'd seen it and forgotten about it. Either one is good for him.]

Er, stuff. The usual--patrol and drama club.

[Oh she totally saw that Takuto she has just chosen to not say anything about it... yet. Since there has been no proof of the matter and it doesn't really involve her (selfish yes) she currently doesn't care all that much (but fyi philandering is the worst, a disease that needs curing, Stein is working on that one). She does pick up on the fact that he was also leaving some things out.]

Are you training with a partner today?

[tauborn]

[He shrugs and nods.]

Though I suppose I have a lot of different partners. [A pause as suddenly he realizes how awful that sounds.] ...That I train with.

[Oblivious girl is oblivious and says things that sound about as bad when comes to resonating. There's really no way around it unfortunately.]

Sugata-san? [As in, is he one of the ones you train with?]

[tauborn]

[It may be better for her if ignorance is bliss. Takuto unfortunately realizes how bad things he says sound only after he says them. It took him months before he could talk about intimacy and resonance without blushing.]

Yeah, and Yuugi. [A pause.] And Aqua and Shinji. [Practice with Sugata and Yuugi is pretty much a daily thing, whereas resonance with Aqua happens if he feels like it, and with Shinji he usually tricks him into it outside of morning training.

He gives Nanami a thoughtful look.] If you're up for some resonance practice, then I'll be happy to train with you.

[Nanami is unfamiliar with Yuugi but she sort of knows Aqua. And of course she knows Shinji.]

Well if it's just resonance practice... Um, Takuto-san, are you okay with still partnering with me? I mean, I'd understand if you'd rather go with your friend from home.

[tauborn]

[He frowns at her. Was she asking him to be her partner...? Like... official partner? Because he... he wasn't at all sure how he felt about that.]

...You mean like for a few missions and things? Of course I'm okay with that. It's not even a matter of 'someone else instead' since I can wield two at the same time. [He heaves a sigh.] But if you mean something more permanent... you'll have to give me time to think about it.

[Nanami tilts her head for a moment trying to follow his thought path]

Oh, no! I mean... I thought you might want to be permanent partners with him because... and then if my form isn't compatible with his or he's a smaller pointy object then you'd want to go with Shinji as your secondary partner... for better balance... so what I'm saying is yes, for a few missions and things.

[enter awkward frowny face here]

[tauborn]

I'm not looking to partner permanently with anyone.

[Best to be straightforward about these things, after all. Though since she brought it up, he'll probably end up thinking about it later. He's put permanent partnerships out of his mind since Aion left just for sanity's sake, but maybe... maybe he'd actually end up being okay with it? He already lives with Yuugi and Sugata, anyway....] So I guess we're on the same page then. Resonance and a few missions and such.

[She had jumped to very wrong conclusions earlier. She scratches her cheek lightly, guess she might want to clear that up with Shinji...]


Yes, yes, same page. Very good then.

So, are you up for some practice today?

[Now that they've got the rest of the business sorted.]

[morecowbell]

Just some light practice for today, okay? I'm still kind of recovering from my last mission.

[tauborn]

[He nods, but there's a frown along with it.]

Where'd you go and who'd you go with?

[morecowbell]

[She really thinks nothing of it and replies]

Venezuela with Bakura.

[tauborn]

[He frowns, because Bakura is also a weap... oh. She means the other Bakura. Not Ryou.]

O-oh. Okay.

[And there's not really much more he can say on that matter. It's a little weird knowing that someone he resonates with also resonates with the other Bakura (but Ryou does that too on occasion).]

Should I change for this? [Resonance could be done without transforming right? Otherwise he'd have to close his eyes]

[tauborn]

[He shrugs, holding out his hand towards her.] Only if you want to.

[morecowbell]

[She chooses to stay in her human form and she takes his hand and closes her eyes as if to meditate and concentrates on sending out an even wave of energy, it seems a little defeated even though she's trying not to focus on that.]

[tauborn]

[Feeling defeated isn't something that really works well with Takuto's wavelength. It's the usual tidal wave, though it relents rather quickly as he tries to focus and adapt to hers.

Her wavelength seems... quieter today, for some reason, and it's making resonance difficult since his is always bordering the obnoxiously loud.]

Oh... I guess it's been a while, hold on...

[She attempts to ramp it up a bit. Her last mission with Bakura had forced her to learn to adjust quickly because of the strange fluctuations said partner seemed to be having throughout. Her wavelength strengthens with more determination. With Genesis' sage advise she is going to become a better partner.]
