It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

"In that order, right?" Aranea smirked. She was friendly enough, but something about the conversation told her that this cat-person was feeling her out. Which was to be expected, but Aranea wasn't aware that she'd be an object of interest.

"What do most people do with their time here?" Aranea asked, hoping to get a feel for what was regarded as normal. From a woman that certainly wasn't.

"Nope!" She giggled. "First comes entertainment, to get the guy's attention. Then if you did a good job, he'll wanna take you shopping.~" Blair thought for a moment what most people did here. There were normal citizens around too. Nothing was special about their lives. And Blair seemed to like different things than most other people. "You train, silly! Sooner we get the war over with the sooner we can have more fun!"

"I'm not sure most guys will find me entertaining." Aranea smiled pleasantly. She knew that wasn't entirely true, but when she could sense other people's emotions it always felt a little disingenuous to respond when the emotion of attraction began to grow. In the beginning, most people were often confused or anxious to open themselves up to that vulnerability, and calling them out on it only made things more complicated.

So, about that other topic. "Do you train too, Blair? You seem pretty capable to me."
