It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

[The machine is ready soon enough and begins its scan. It's done in a few seconds and dings. Now, they just needed to wait until the results are on screen.]

I don't suppose you would know how these scanners work? What part of us do they draw their answer from?

They draw results from your soul. Here, your soul is everything and what Kishin will seek.

So there is some fundamental difference between the souls of Weapons and Meisters that can be picked up... Not to mention their technology is capable of reading human souls. How intéressant!

Most humans here will have innocent souls which will be pure white and perhaps slightly tinged blue. Our souls differ with colors, showing whether we are Meisters or Weapons as part of BREW's granted wish.

[She looks at the machine] And apparently, you are a Weapon.

A Weapon, eh? Trés bien! And how does one learn to transform, exactly?

Attend morning training. There will be other Guests there to assist you in concerns to transforming properly. It's held every morning from 6 to 9 AM.

Oh, and before I forget... Is there a library or any similar place to find information around here? I do so enjoy reading!

Yes. There will be a library within Shibusen. Access is limited to Guests, but you can try to request for access to the restricted sections. Just exercise caution when speaking to some Shibusen members.

Oh? Are they not as hospitable as they are made out to be?

This war between forces is over eight centuries old. I'm sure even that amount of time would give those with well intentions personal information to hide. Still... I personally have been trying to uncover more.

[So far, she knows more about Weapons. Now to uncover Meisters and seeing if any form of peace can be brought between the two opposing forces.]

[That'll work just fine. He's just going to take his time looking into things.]

Yes. Just don't become too paranoid. We have plenty of those uncooperative people who seem to forget if BREW doesn't randomly send us back, we're stuck here until it considers the wish fulfilled. Shibusen is the only place that will harbor us so kindly and train us with these new abilities we've been granted with.

Whatever you were addressing before your arrival is frozen in time. Your decisions from now on will determine whether that time continues with or without you.
