It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

Another interesting looking fellow had shown up for the tour, and Lee was excited to be of service. He approached the young-looking man and gave a nod of greeting. "Good day, sir! I am Rock Lee and am here to show you the sights of Death City, as it were!"

He made a grand gesture to the sprawling city that surrounded Shibusen, then spun on his heel to face Zero. "What would you like to see first? Is there anything about the city itself you would like to know?"

Zero took a half a step back. This human, Rock Lee, was pretty forceful with his enthusiasm.

"So anyone can room at the places for newcomers? You don't try to divide out humans and non-humans?" Zero had already faced more humans today than he'd had to in years.

"Divide out...?" Confusion first splayed over Lee's face, then understanding shined in his eyes and caused him to smile. "No, of course not! As long as you can fit your body into a designated living space, then it shall be yours!"

Now that Lee thought about it, he wasn't sure how things had worked out for Temeraire in the beginning. The dragon was hardly apartment-sized.

Well. So they didn't discriminate that way. Just size. Which was clearly very practical.

"I guess I'd probably fit into a designated living space." He thought of what else he could ask. "So anyone can get certain kinds of food for free. What if you needed other kinds of energy to keep your systems functioning?"

"I am certain you will!" Lee had confidence! This man should have it too! But onto more serious matters.

"Yes, food itself is free on credit as long as you are a new resident here and do not abuse the privilege." Naruto had abused his ramen privileges and now they didn't serve him without cash, but they had to make a paycheck somehow. Lee didn't blame them.

The ninja frowned thoughtfully. "I am unsure what you mean by other kinds of energy. What would you typically use to energize yourself?"

"Energy tanks that recharge the systems for reploids. Somehow I don't think you have those around here." Or if they did, they might be too crude for his systems to process.

"Energy tanks.... recharge...?" Lee's eyes rounded, giving him a perplexed look to match the question in his voice. It definitely was unfamiliar to him. But he shook it off, and merely smiled.

"I am certain if your dietary needs cannot be met with the typical fare then shinigami-sama will gladly assist you any way he can! You should have seen him on the screen when you were first brought into the Kishin chamber." Lee motioned to his hair. "The young man has a charming set of white stripes here."

"Him? I guess it can't hurt." He should turn away now, having got his information. But he is in a strange new place. Being polite ~~more polite than normal~~ couldn't hurt. "Have you been in this city a while?"

"He will do all he can to help, I am sure!" So far, Kid had been an excellent host as far as Lee was concerned. But then again, Lee had very little in way of needs.

He smiled at the man again, nodding. "Yes! A good month, now! If you are confused about anything here in the city, or would like to find anything in particularly, then do not hesitate to ask!"

"So if you're been here a month, you've been on missions with a partner to fight these kishin eggs?"

Getting a new partner when he already had a perfectly good one back home was tough.

"Ah that... not quite!" He was a little ashamed to mention it. "I have been first and foremost been attempt to master my Weapon form and working on resonance! I have a tentative partner, but not one that is permanent yet."

But Lee brightened, unable to let anything get him down for long. "But I am not going to remain idle for long! Missions are my life's work! I shall be out in the action in no time!"

"They told me I was a Weapon too, but I'm not sure how to transform. I'll have to go on the training grounds as soon as I can."

His life's work? Was he some kind of career hunter?

"Ah, then I am sure you will do just fine if you are so eager! Training happens every morning, so be sure to show up early and get to work with he rest of us!" Lee gave him a thumbs up, quite happy to have met another driven fighter.

"If you are able to keep that up, then finding a willing partner should not be a problem! Work hard on finding resonance, and do all you can to encourage it to develop so that we can win this war!"

"I hope I can do just that." Maybe this person wouldn't be a bad contact to have. Obviously not a partner since they were both Weapons.

"Is there lots of practice sparring on the training grounds? It's not all mastering your forms, right?"

"Ah, there is much more, indeed!" Fighting as a Weapon and Meister pair came with several strings attached. One could not just partner with anyone, even in a pinch that did not always work to a team's advantage.

"Resonance training is highly sought after! You cannot be wield or be wielded by someone whose soul does not mesh well with your own. And there is also several other areas of interest, like figuring out your specific abilities here, first aid training, the hug brigade!" Lots of things.

"So I should try to look over everything while I'm training in the morning." He'd definitely have to practice resonance if he was going to do any good. Transformation and resonance sounded like the most important things for now.

"Yes! It is always best to be prepared for anything!" Diligence was a warrior's best skill. Beyond fighting, of course.

"You will find that while resonating may not come easily with everyone you try, there is a whole host of Meisters and Weapons still lacking partners, so there is never a moment when you will find yourself out of choices for practice partners!"

"Good. Looks like I'll need the practice." He offers his metal hand to shake. "I'm Zero. Thanks for helping me out."

Lee takes the offered hand and shakes it vigorously. "A pleasure, Zero-san! I am always willing to help.

"If you are in need of any further assistance, do call on the name Rock Lee and I will do all I can to help!" He grins. "Until then, I do hope you enjoy the rest of the tour provided!"
