It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

Chika smiled as the... kinda robot like person came up to her. That was weird, but not unheard of, so she didn't pay it much mind. "Hi there. Welcome to Death City!"

She shoved a few more things into the gift basket, before handing it over to the new arrival. "Sorry we're not as prepared as usual, but well, you guys kinda showed up a little early, so we didn't have enough of these made for everyone in time."

"Early? Does this happen a lot here?"

Zero looked over his basket. He hadn't been expecting any kind of direction upon arriving in the city. Just another pleasant surprise as he found himself alive and functioning.

Chika nods. "Yeah. It kinda does. Usually it's every two week or so. Or at least, that's what it's been for the longest time."

"Anyway, my name is Chika. What's yours?"

So this BREW program was stuck on recruiting people? Interesting way to add to your army.

"Zero. Does the program recruit just anyone or does it stick mostly to humans?"

[scatterflower]

"From what I can tell, it seems like the answer is anyone. We have a few people who obviously aren't human here," Chika said. "There's a giant talking mouse somewhere around here, two aliens that look like frogs, and a giant dragon."

"And the program somehow turns everyone into either Meister or Weapon?" He'd seen dragon reploids, especially Magma Dragoon, but what would a flesh and blood dragon look like?

[scatterflower]

"Yep, pretty much," Chika said. "Though I don't think it's really a program. Seems more magic to me," she said. "But that's basically the basic idea of what's going on here."

"So, do you go out and fight?" She didn't seem designed for anything like that.

"Sometimes, yeah," she said, smiling a bit. "I've been on a couple of missions, since sitting around here not helping isn't going to make the war stop any faster."

"And in order to fight, you can't do it by yourself. You need a partner." He'd worked with X all the time. X was his partner. Except this time, you literally had to fight paired up with someone, if what he understood was correct.

"Yep," Chika said, still smiling. "After a while it stops feeling weird," she said. "Have you been told if you're a meister or a weapon yet?"

"They told me I was a Weapon but I don't know what kind. So I'm supposed to find a Meister who can pair up with me." If X were here, this would be no problem. To work with someone completely new? It was going to take some practice.

[scatterflower]

Chika nodded. "Yeah, finding out your weapon form can be a bit difficult from what I've seen. I'm a meister myself, so I didn't need to worry about that at all."

[divide_by_zero]

"So what do you have to worry about instead? If you don't have to change form."

[scatterflower]

"Finding someone that I can resonate with, for starters," Chika said. "Though actually... I don't have a problem with that either for some reason. Though sometimes finding people to become permanent partners with is difficult. Some people are hard to work with even if you can resonate with them."

[divide_by_zero]

Well, Zero certainly had been accused of being hard to work with. How much would that hold true in this place?

"I see. It's a lot to take in, but you've been extremely helpful."

[scatterflower]

Chika smiled. "It's no problem at all. It's bee a while, but I still remember what it's like to be completely lost here. Feel free to give me a call on the communicators if you need any more help or have any other questions."
