It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

I'm specifically referring to the room where they analyzed our souls. However that works. The one with the garish decor.

That all depends on what you mean by 'understand'.

I see, it is convenient. By my calculations, we would perform best, for the time being, working together. While we cannot claim maximum compatibility without any level of testing, I firmly believe that we can work together properly.

Not only that, I am confident in your physical abilities and you are confident in my mental prowess.

However convenient it may sound, it is best to take advantage of such opportunities.

And by 'understand', were you able to understand what factors are used to determine who is a meister and who is a weapon?

The factors are fairly elementary. At least in hypothesis. [AKA she has no fugging clue]

Personality.

Those who wish to use are meisters and those who do not care about being used are weapons.

Speaking of your superior intellect, I'm assuming you've read over the information we've been provided about kishin. I shouldn't have to say this, but you are not to even breathe a word about what I am to anyone here.

...there is a group here that I'm going to look into. For the potential allies and protection they may offer if something unexpected happens. I'll let you know what I think about them after their upcoming meeting.

[She didn't know if it was an invitation-only meeting, or one of those informal things that anyone could walk into. And it never occurred to her to ask as she didn't know Sion was there yet.]

Perhaps you can spend the time figuring out what kind of weapon you are? So I know what style I need to learn.

[Akiha's not exactly trained to use weaponry, though she's confident she will be able to make what she knows already work for to her advantage.]

If I decide this SEES group is worth perusing, I will ensure you can attend the next meeting with me.

That is an acceptable trade. Once I am fully moved into my living quarters, I will begin practice on this...transformation that is supposed to take place.

[Akiha gives Sion a dubious look. She's kind of glad she doesn't need to figure out some kind of transformation thing. Though she's not sure what the catch with being a meister is. It seemed pretty straightforward to her.]

I hope this residence is acceptable. Though I doubt it.

[Akiha is going to be irritated that her bedroom in the mansion is bigger than this apartment she has to live in. WITHOUT her 1600 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen sheets.]
